Raj provided us with exceptional service. The food was rich and incredibly delicious. We traveled from Hertfordshire to experience this charming little pub, and the meal exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return, as we loved the atmosphere and the family-friendly vibe. The owner took great care of my family and me, ensuring we felt attended to. This has been my local pub for almost thirty years, which says a lot (if not about the pub, then about me). I've witnessed different owners and staff come and go, but I can confidently say that Megan and her wonderful team do an exceptional job upholding the tradition of well-kept beer and great food in a friendly atmosphere. This is what the pub is known for, and it's why I keep coming back for more!

This is a lovely country pub that always has a vibrant atmosphere. The food is quite good, although it may be a bit on the expensive side for what you get, but the selection of nice beers is always a plus. The owners are friendly, and there's a lovely garden at the back where you can relax. Price per person: £20–30. Food: 4/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5.

Went to the Stone Horse last night for dinner as not far from friends in Cliffe Woods and found a nice, happy atmosphere. The bar staff were friendly and accommodating as were the owners who brought over our meals. We had steak ale pie, sausage mash, veggie lasagne and curry chips and all went down very well! Popped into this Country Pub, and found they did a really good Sunday lunch. The portion of Pork with crackling was very decent. Home cooked with fresh veg.
