Stone Lion - Reserva de mesa

We live locally and have only been here three times since January! We go back because the food is so good but the service is TERRIBLE .... if I could give my tip directly to the chef I would !! The service staff couldn't care...less until it comes to the tip that is, I actually heard the waiter giving out because a lady left his tip in one dollar and two dollar coins! The hostess laughed with another waitress as myself and partner couldn't get seats on the patio; we sat inside and I over heard her say to another staff member nobody is working the inside so they wont be getting anything today ... Such a let down everytime

only recently we felt brave enough to venture a terrace due to covid. we stopped on a sunny Saturday afternoon from the stone lion and the place flew. we were asked if screening questions and obvious COVID protocols were used for both...sharves and patrons. we ended up on one of the side terraces that was nicely shaded and great for people to watch. during this visit we stayed only for drinks, but the service and the ambiente were both great, so we would certainly visit again. we had: classic margarita guinness draft

This is my favourite in the area and yes, I said it 'Beaches'. There's a decent selection of craft beers and good food with daily specials (Wed: fish chips $9( It has a genuine and warm and cozy feel to it. Have tried lots...of the dishes and they're all good such as fish tacos and the cauliflower appetizers. Others such as the Firkin and Breakwall nearby/across the street aren't as genuine.

Fish tacos were good, but our server had a bad attitude from when we sat. also forgot the drink of my friend and served him only when the food arrived – neither apologised for it. my friend and I were uncomfortable all our time. we are generous drinking money and will also cut the staff a little slack, but this server they really pushed buttons so left zero dollar tip. Went in on Friday just after lunch. The food and service were terrible. We ordered a soup which was cold. The flat bread was flavourless and on essentially a cracker. After letting the server know she merely shrugged her shoulders and left. The guys next...to us said they were going to the Firkin across the street for lunch. Don’t blame them. Never going back

Several friends and I went here for lunch. We were upsold on sides to add as the server said every handheld sandwich should have a side. We did and it wasn't needed. My gourmet cold cut sandwich was good, but all the flavours didn't come...through makes me wonder at how much of each ingredient was added. On the bright side, the patio was excellent.

It was busy, I get that. Our waitress did her best. But what a disappointment with the food. Ordered the cauliflower and it was so bland. not cooked and the batter was raw, had to send it back. The perogies were not very good either....Such and shame as the last time was great. Hope they fix that problem.

The atmosphere is a very comfortable pub bar. The food was good but not great. We had fish and chips and fish tacos. The server was friendly and attentive. Reserva una mesa ahora

excellent eating, beautiful ambiente on the terrace. great for children, beautiful beersorte. great location after a day on the beach, all were happy!

I love this restaurant, near the beach, old restaurant, but comforting, eating is delicious and reasonable, I will come back
