The Strafford Arms

We visited with friends yesterday (15/5/22) after a trip out to a local beauty spot and had booked in advance. We arrive 30 mins early so sat in the garden with some drinks. We went in at our booked time and had to wait 20...mins for the table. Once seated, we were not asked if we wanted any more drinks and we had to ask a passing waiter to take our food order. The meal arrived in a timely fashion but was not of the best quality and certainly not worth the extortionate prices! The chicken roast was the best of the bunch and was enjoyed by those of us who had it. The lamb roast was fatty and tough, the wagu burger was ‘ok’ (the bacon was described as crispy it was not and the fries were smoth...

disappoint from beginning to end! the visit began that we were pushed into a corner with another couple, despite an empty pub. When I was asked that we were booked the tables, however, several walks were able to use these free tables. the only one. positiw was the pint of pravha I had, cold and correct glass. the afternoon was the most disappointing part. tasteless and cheap! cold fish and 3 chips, cold suppe with a skin. a cold tante bessie’s yorkshire pudding with a spoon of maic and a chipolata. desserts were again tasteless, shortbread and scone were bought clear and the trifle was the worst trifle I've ever eaten. zero taste. money and bank holiday. left hungry and disappointed! this is...

was very disappointed...4 of us went to lunch (on 29 May) my burger came and the brot was cumbersome! it was quickly removed and a new one sent. this was burned on the outside and uncooked (below on the inside). I eat my steak rarely. so that I am used to what is rare and what is not cost! the waiter/manager was very rude and defensiw. when I said I wouldn't pay for the food she wanted to take away my older grandparents. there is no barrier-free access. such a scandal for a beautiful environment. I never complained, but that was a sweat.

As always, perfect food, amazing friendly service in a relaxed and well presented environment! Everything is always just right at the Strafford Arms, food, staff, service, decor, cleanliness, etc. As you can see I had the Lobster Reserva una mesa ahora

Had afternoon tea,really lovely mix of sweet and savoury,particularly liked the mini fish n chips and chocolate brownie,clean plates for all,plus they have necoil mmmm best beer ever !

The food was really good. The service was efficient and friendly. Also, the restaurant decor is extremely tasteful and comfortable.
