My fiance and I booked last minute and I was slightly disheartened after reading certain reviews as I haven't dined at The Sun Inn in years and always wanted to go back together. I can truly say our experience start to finish was wonderful Friday...11/2. Andrew member of management (apologies if incorrect name) couldn't be anymore attentive, such a warm genuine welcome the second we walked in and he continued to look after us all evening. The very young gentleman working was equally as friendly and very bubbly. Food was delicious, we went for the Valentines menu which was great value for money. sonne begged inn last night 4 adults at the arrival given menus 20 minutes later with waiter just go by, my man went to cash to buy a barman was not very happy he was at the bar he explained that we finally wait...Selling food order was nothing special (for the price) burger overboiled and I didn't know, fries were extra £15 for burger and I didn't know we then ordered desserts after another 40-minute waiting time we decided enough that we were desserts on plate ready to be served, we had been at the place 2 hours and had only 1 curs we-were said we waited so long for main meal, as burger takes a long time to cook!

Here’s what was great… Butternut squash soup… delicious Plenty of prawns crayfish topping on sandwich Service from tall dark haired staff member, great wit helpful Decor surroundings 2 courses for £10 menu available Not so good… Rest of staff who were pretty...miserable lifeless Lukewarm greeting acknowledgement on arrival When asking for sugar with coffee was told ‘you can have sweetener but not sugar’ Open Sandwiches served in bread that was so thick it was hard to cut through Dry sandwiches with pretty uninspiring dry toppings Haven’t visited before Wouldn’t rush back but it was ok for a catch up with friends.

I have visited the Sun Inn on a number of occasions and every time the service has been slow and inattentive. This is often overlooked because the quality of the food is good if a little overpriced. However, on this particular visit the service...was not just slow but painfully robotic and monosyllabic. So we were very surprised to find that they had automatically added a 10% service charge for a table of 3 people. This has really put me off returning as the one thing that lets this restaurant down is it’s waiting staff. Reserva una mesa ahora

Our meal was generally good quality except for the chips which were overcooked. It was the prices and extras that normally should be included that disappointed us. £32 for a standard bottle of wine that you could likely buy for about £12, bread dips and...sauce cost extra. We wont be back anytime soon unless prices drop by about 2/3. It's a pity since we'd been given good reviews.

Time after time of eating here it's just ace to be exited about the same food as you are of new choices shows how good they really are when you can't pick from old favourites to something different and new the all will hit the...spot. Top food, top front of house staff and top chefs. If you haven't been then why not ?? And if you have why you not there now?? Love it 10/10

The cheap menu advertised was not available as apparently a misprint even although advertised on their website, average meal but despite not being busy we waited 15 mins for drinks to arrive and then another half hour for soup and sorry but £22 for two...bowls of soup a slice of bread and a water and diet coke is vastly overpriced.

a fabulous place to stay. the room was clean and very comfortable bed. the staff was super friendly and efficient. the food was fresh and delicious. I had fishcake two nights in succession because it was just wonderful. wifi really easy to reach. Very good. Reserva una mesa ahora

had a nice lunchtime with friends. armed staff and log fire the brot was so light and tasty! starter and net up to their usual high standard. thanks, jill and co.
