The Sun Inn - Reserva de mesa

We had an excellent and cozy lunch with family. The service was friendly and attentive, and each dish was beautifully presented. The sauces that accompanied the fish were exceptional. I started with the whitebait, which was a very generous portion and cooked to perfection. For my main course, I chose the pork belly served with a delicious red wine sauce. My only minor observation was that it was a bit crispy for my taste, but I know many people enjoy it that way. I found it beautifully seasoned, and the sweetness paired perfectly. It was surprisingly quiet for a Friday afternoon, but overall, it was a great experience. We will definitely be coming back!

This is a lovely pub/restaurant with ample parking and Covid safety measures in place. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and even though it wasn't busy during my visit, there were some nice locals around. A word of caution: if you park to the right front of the pub and plan to head towards Winchester or Salisbury, be aware that you're on a dual carriageway! There is an opening for this maneuver, but it's located further to the left from the entrance. It’s easy to accidentally end up driving against oncoming traffic! The menu is great, with very reasonable prices, and the interior is bright and clean.

that was my first chance to try the sun inn since the new owners had taken over. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been during the pandemic, but based on the quality of eating and service tonight, I suppose they have practiced much behind closed doors. I cannot harm the quality of eating or service at all. this place deserves to be packed into the rafter, but I don't think it will take too long before this place is one of the most popular restaurants. I didn't have a bat since I was back from Texas. starter and net were cooked to perfection.

We had a lovely family celebration on Sunday. 12 adults and 4 children. The starters and Sunday roast was well cooked and delicious. The meals all came out at the same time and the staff were extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble. There was space for the little ones to play so they were not bored sitting still at the table. Would recommend for a meal for 2 or a larger group. Thank you Joel and Hayley for making the family celebration a memorable occasion.

For starters, we had olives and warm bread, along with a grilled cocktail, all of which were very tasty. However, the standout dishes were the lamb and the fish and chips, along with the chocolate fondant for dessert! We will definitely be back soon!

Great food. Great prices. Great staff. Very welcoming and really well decorated and clean. Good space, not cramped and not overly busy. Will visit again next time I'm in the area.
