This is a restaurant where the food should be savoured, meaning a visit should be an end in itself, not the 'eating part ' of a night out it 's a foodie heaven. The tasting menu gives little away with regard to the dishes being served; it just lists the main items with no pretentious descriptions, which is great! Each new dish is a surprise even though one knows what the food items are. For example, there 's no indication in Fennel, Rice, Pea, Mint that it 's presented as arancini. Each dish was prepared to perfection and the quality of the produce shone through; I found myself eating things I had previously thought I didn 't like beets and radish, for example but not even the beauty of the...
when I arrived, the restaurant did not have my reservation since opentable had not passed it on. I appreciate that they no longer work with this restaurant, but not to pass the bookings they have taken is very negligent. when it happened, they could fit us the same night, although over an hour later and on a table that was not ideal. you failed to pass on this booking would have led to a ruined birthday meal for my partner. the restaurant saved the day, but I would not recommend their booking service to everyone.
This is the second time I have been here after 6 years and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable service. It really felt like the lovely staff were looking after you. Brilliant menu with an interesting choice of dishes, you will probably come here and have something you have never had before and love it! Delicious food and great restaurant setting. I’ll definitely be coming back when I am in Leeds again. A really special place.
Absolutely gorgeous food and very friendly service. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to have an entire vegetarian tasting menu, and my boyfriend enjoyed it too, even though he's usually a carnivore through and through. The Radish, beetroot, rhubarb and labneh dish was outstanding. Will be back!
