We 've been coming to the Sycamore Inn for over 20 years. While we usually enjoy the bar/patio area, it was a special occasion, so we made reservations for the dining room. We were sat in a high-traffic area, which made dining awkward, but that was tolerable. The service from the waitress was atrocious! We interacted with her all of 3-4 times. The busboy was more attentive and provided better service than she did. We asked for a drink menu, then waited at least 10 minutes for her to return to take a drink order. After we placed our dinner order, I asked for the wine list. She never came back to take our wine order and by the time she did, our dinner had arrived. That would not have been bad,...
A classic! The food always delivers. The service has been the weak point of the restaurant for some time now. It seems as though the management is not hands on enough and allows people who don't have enough experience to run the show. Last visit was 4/28/24 and our server was stretched way too thin and I never saw a manager involved. The table next to us was served the wrong entree and listening to the solution was painful. They are good people who are trying hard, but in need of an experienced manager in fine dining.
The food was outstanding! The New York strip with peppercorn sauce was cooked to a perfect medium—without a doubt the best steak we've had in many years. The Chilean Sea Bass was excellent as well, although I personally prefer a savory style over a sweet miso glaze. A quick squeeze of lemon made it just right! The service in both the bar and restaurant was excellent. Overall, we can't wait to return again and again. We absolutely love it here!
At first I was seated in the lounge, which was in the height of Happy Hour, the noise level was beyond the ambiance I was hoping for. My waiter graciously moved me to the main dining room and brought me a complmentary dessert! The prime rib was not as tender as some I have had. All in all, I will return for another occasion later in the year. I recieved just the right amouont of attention and felt welcome.

My husband and I dined at The Sycamore Inn to celebrate Father's Day for an early dinner and it was fantastic! We both had the rib eye which was cooked exactly as we ordered it (Medium Rare Plus) and it was extremely flavorful! Even though it was busy, the service was impeccable and it wasn't that noisy. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!
We sat on the patio. Service was a little slow. We were offered bread when we first sat down. We had to ask twice and it did not come until after our food arrived. The waiter was very nice but seemed not very good at delegating services to his two assistants. Normally, we sit inside and the service is always very good.
The food was excellent the service from the staff what would be expected from a high end restaurant The room e was Over which lead to a ex seated with tables and chairs which lead to a extremely load room Went at 830 when I left the place was almost empty and much quieter
We had a fantastic time celebrating our birthday. The food was excellent, including minestrone soup, Caesar salad, filet mignon, Chilean sea bass, and various sides. Our waiter John and his team were exceptional. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.

A excellent place to have the experience of great service, great food in a nostalgic setting. Recently have tried the bar area and menu, perfect for a quaint experience. Everything was great!
