Delightful inn with bushels of story appeal. Oldest continuously operating Inn in DC, housed WAVs in WW2. Owned by employees. Spectacular food beverages. 100% recommend. My room was delightfully spacious. I have limited mobility, but I let them know the weekend before my stay, and they accommodated with the least stairs. Hodge podge of connected townhouses with numerous comfy cubbies to meet and work with colleagues. Very affordable and walkable to Dupont Circle. Staff truly care about your stay and will engage with joie de vivre. Don't rush your meal. Extremely charming and welcoming hotel in the heart of DC. It’s a cozy inn that’s preserved its 1920s roots and is so fun in all the art they’ve clearly collected. The staff was wonderful and helpful let’s all remember that you never know if someone might’ve had a bad day. My room was clean, spacious for 1 and I imagine cozy for 2, and beautifully decorated. I have some back problems and slept perfectly. As far as noise goes, it’s an old building so walls are somewhat thin but nothing disruptive. I didn’t get a chance to eat here except for the complimentary lobby coffee but it smelled great and on a Monday there were tons of people there. Looking for an iconic restaurant for dinner for 6 and Tabard looked great online. The bar/lounge area looked just like what we hoped for, but the positive impression ended there. We were seated in what looks like a basement with low ceilings, by the door to the kitchen there were just a few other diners and empty tables we should have left right then! Bread was generic, grocery store rolls that I would not serve at home, service was poor, bathroom dirty, a very disappointing evening. We did see another dining room that was not the basement, but it was not in use There are so many other choices go anywhere but here!

Amazing.it is now my favorite restaurant in DC. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. The sea bass was an incredible blend of favors and textures. The carrots were tender and delicious and the chocolate/rhubarb dessert was out of this world. Just like with the sea bass the combo of favors and textures was wonderful. We were on a family graduation trip with Grandson, staying at the next door Marriott and the hotel recommended this restaurant. The food was excellent, prices were higher than we Michigan people thought they should be but service was good and the ambience was delightful. They also gave us complimentary treats in an elegant setting. Highly recommended. We would go back.

After drinks in the lounge we had a delicious dinner. From the very start the staff was very attentive and made the experience perfect. I had the rockfish which was fantastic. The dessert was also really exceptional. Thank you Tabard Inn!

3 1/2 out of 5. Cocktail “Last Call NY to DC” was delicious. Mushroom beignets were tasty. Seabass entree and chicken entree were fine. Service was only ok.
