The Talbot Cuckfield

We visited The Talbot for the first time as looked so nice and cosy from the outside but restaurant felt more like a canteen with no atmosphere, cheap furniture and lighting too bright. Artwork I saw was also pretty pointless and didn't add anything to it! Risotto with red cabbage and goats cheese was tasteless and didn't look appetising at all. The steak in pie was very chewy and inedible! The young lady who served us was excellent though and attentive and the bar to the front was cosy but we didn't stay long as we weren't in the mood for a dj

I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised by the lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly, happy, and attentive. The meal was delicious and I enjoyed the overall vibe of the restaurant. Even my youngest daughter had a great time and said she loved it. I hope they can maintain this level of quality, as too often I have seen restaurants decline after a promising start. I have high hopes that this won't be the case for this restaurant. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I give 5 stars to the camembert and noodles. Unfortunately, I can only give 1 star, and that's being generous, to the extremely poor chicken and beef burgers. They were dry and barely edible. The duck noodles bring this review up to 3 stars, but I will not be coming back. There are many better dining options in the area. The price per person is £20–30. Overall, the food receives a rating of 2 stars.

had a nice Sunday dinner today. eat large and good portion sizes too. my wife had Roast-Rind and all circumcisions with a side of cauliflower cheese, while I had the bratglocke with a pickle sauce and cracked. delicious. we both have with banana beetle with heel and crumble for the desert. a great end to a great meal. we would definitely recommend the talbot! We held a birthday party at the Hayloft and found the layout to be perfect for dancing. The venue has its own bar and restroom facilities. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we rate the service and atmosphere as a 5 out of 5.
