During the lockdown, when the teeroom contacted me to buy teegutscheine (with a 2 year time to use), I decided it was a good thing to do. I spent a lot of money. on Saturday, a late 60th birthday party for my friend, I sent diet demands on Monday, but when the waitress told us the options, the sandwiches were in the ground cheese (which I told them that my friend did not eat) there was a small hearty scone with chutney with a small piece of cheese at the top. we have booked for a special 70th birthday party for my mother. we informed the team on the phone of our special nutritional requirements, 5* vegan, and were extremely disappointed when we arrived and ordered that our special requirements could not be met as they had no record. we were offered vegan sandwiches, but as most will appreciate, they have no afternoon tea for the sandwiches while we appreciate that it was not the server mistakes, the customer service was bad and we felt like we were in the wrong! even if we could see that the drinks were made and we asked the free (in consideration of our 30-minute drive), we were told that they were not ready. it has ruined our special day that o...
small but beautiful tee room, although there were more tables in the garden view room that I think can be used for functions such as baby showers etc. £20 pp for the afternoon, but this included refillable sandwiches and scones and unlimited tee. I was very impressed by this service. even before the afternoon tee came, we had a small cup tomato and basilikum soup that was really nice. the photo I have included is of my gluten-free afternoon tea that came on a separate stand and the waitress went through and told us what each cake and sandwich was standing on each. we also had 4 ham sandwiches for my 1yo nephew and extra simple ham sandwiches for the mother of my siles. it was a nice afternoo...
This was my third visit. Love the furnishings but unfortunately due to Covid was not as enjoyable. Hazard markings on the carpet , fewer visitors so less atmosphere but biggest criticism would be that on the other occasions I felt there was a better selection. There were not enough savouries and too many sweet treats. I felt that the selection was being filled out with scones as there were 4 for 2 people on top of a lot of other sweets. Also other times I have been approached and asked if they could bring more sandwiches. Still a delightful place and would go again in normal times.

Staff were welcoming. Food was disappointing to say the least best thing about the afternoon tea were the scones. The sandwiches were unfortunately not great cucumber sandwich was soggy and inedible, egg mayonnaise barely had any filling. As for desserts were dry and stale unfortunately. Experience didn’t live up to expectations
Having been here numerous times in the past, I was surprised by the unexpected price increase. Having said that, the food was just as delicious, although there was less than I remember. A very pleasant experience but I doubt I'll rush back I'm afraid.
We were expecting a lot more, the decor was very standard. The food was disappointing, very average food and something I could have made at home taste wise. Staff were friendly but overall did not live up to my expectations.
Very good. the staff was polite and attentive. the only thing I would say is that the restaurant was not full and we had to wait months to get in. eating was nice and good vegetarian option.
