We made a reservation weeks in advance but when we arrived, there was no table reserved for us. Despite this, we were seated without issue, but it seemed like we were being viewed as an inconvenience. The menu options looked appealing, which is why we chose to dine there, but the prices were quite high. My friend ordered a roast dinner and was excited for a traditional Sunday roast, but was disappointed when her meal arrived with raw parsnips and stuffing. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they insisted the food was cooked properly, which we found to be dismissive and rude. Main course took an hour and a half to come out, very slow service. When it did arrive, all but one meal was luke warm at best, the vegetables were rubbery and my pie choice was incorrect. Menu was far too expensive for a local eatery and gratuity is automatically added to the bill, with the option to ask to have it removed, which is just a cheek. A tip is the discretion of the table and should not be foisted upon paying guests, especially given the poor service received. We used to visit here frequently for family meals as it is very local to us, but will not be back. Arrived at the Telegraph, first ousting since my brother passed away 4 weeks ago so was feeling a little anxious. Found a nice seat by the window and made our way there only to be practically barged out the way and told the table was reserved despite the fact there was no sign on there. The chap then sat 3 women down who said what a lovely place it was. We were left feeling awkward and quite humiliated in front of the rest of the out who all heard and with this we decided to leave and wrong be back. The whole situation could have been handled far more professionally and tactfully. The food is also very expensive.

I have been twice since the pub has changed hands for food and seen some of the reviews…… I’m not so sure why some are so negative. Alway felt the new owner was making an effort with the place and people coming in, he did when I was there. Saw the complaint about Stephen (Person with tattoos) and have been a regular at the pub for 5 years and he is always polite and friendly so think someone is a complainer! I would prefer a menu with individual prices than the one for Christmas, but it’s good to have a new menu and I the effort they have made with the place Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant comes highly recommended! We went there to celebrate a joint birthday and Mother's Day with a large group of 15 people. The staff was amazing and accommodating, from adjusting the tables to meet our needs to helping us with the menu. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, all at a great value for money. A big thank you to the entire staff for making our family's special day even more memorable.

We've had quite a few meals since my last review and whether it's Sunday roast or evening meals the food had always been excellent. All the staff are really friendly and the service is great, the new owner also makes everyone feel welcome and valued. Definitely recommend a visit and we will be continuing to eat here regularly.

What an obnoxious man serving with all the tattoos. He could do with a lesson in customer service. There was 6 of us that will never return again whilst this bartender is serving. Can’t believe the change in service since this establishment changed hands, although I don’t think the new owners realise how bad it’s got.

This is an excellent pub with friendly and welcoming staff. We have been coming here for many meals since the new owner took over and decided to try out the weekday lunch menu. It was a delightful meal and we will definitely return! Reserva una mesa ahora

Traditional style of pub with well kept ales- Doom Bar London Pride. Serving excellent pub food in great surroundings with open fire in winter and good outside seating in summer

We had reservations about going due to feed back from others. But food was amazing family of 4 each had different meals we all loved the food Staff were great
