We were so excited to book a two day stay here. The resort was beautiful. Our room, in the Lancaster Building, was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the water. Our issue was that the walls of our room were so thin that we could hear every word, sneeze, cough, tv, and dog noise of our neighbor. It went until about 11:00 pm on the first day then started up again at 7:00 the next morning. I’ve never been anywhere where I could literally hear everything and every word of our neighbor. This is a 76 year old resort so just expect that there is little to no soundproofing in the rooms.. We checked out after the first day and most likely will not return. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and the location and views were outstanding. However, the service left much to be desired and was often slow. Some of the waitstaff were downright rude. Additionally, certain items were extremely overpriced; for instance, charging $14 for room service drip coffee when you can get unlimited coffee at the restaurant for just $4 is hard to justify. Lastly, our bill at checkout was incorrect, as someone attempted to charge $100 worth of drinks to our room, which led to my husband having to argue with the front desk over this erroneous charge. Given the amount we paid, these issues make me hesitant about staying here again.
What a great place!!! We had a balcony room overlooking the water. So relaxing while having a toddy and reading a good book! We visited off season (early October) and nearly had the place to ourselves. The room was very nice. The staff was excellent!! Starting with Robert as we drove in to Frank at the bar, everyone was so helpful. We sat by the fire pit two evenings pro tip.. get the S’mores kit!! and enjoyed the fire, stars and water. Ideal retreat from the DMV area! Our family, which includes two adults, one teenager, and a dog, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The newly renovated "Ashburn" room was beautiful, offering stunning views of the water. The spa was exceptional, and we had a great time with the kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. While the pool was lively, it was never too crowded. We appreciated the on-site restaurants but also took advantage of the charming bikes and complimentary car rides to explore the nearby town. Highly recommend!

I wholeheartedly recommend the Tides Inn! Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly. Our Vista Suite was spacious and offered a stunning view of the water. We also enjoyed all the activities included with our stay. It truly felt like a luxury resort, with complimentary snacks, water available by the beach, and never having any trouble finding a lounge chair and umbrella. We’re already looking forward to planning our next visit to the Tides Inn!
