The Tollgate Sizzling Pubs

Just came back from having an early dinner. Food was well presented and tasted amazing, specially the halloumi fries and my daughters steak was perfect the was she likes it and a good bit of meat. Becca great customer service, welcoming, helpful and friendly. I been here loads before and it's been hit and miss but today was by far the best experience here and in many other places aswel Thanks Becca and to the Chef which who I believe is the one who helped me with my voucher aswel

twice, once for breakfast and once on Saturday night. the breakfast was really good and the portion size and taste was good...won on Saturday night at 22:50 assumed that the dj would play until midnight as before but he stopped playing at 23:00. the dj was absolutely drunk and was constantly swearing until he packed his equipment. the dj apologised for his behavior, but the bar staff would not have allowed.

My friend and I dined at Maggate on Tuesday. After being disappointed by local restaurants in the past, we decided to give it a try. The steak meal was cooked perfectly, the staff was friendly, and the kitchen was clean. When we asked about the cook, we found out her name was Jane. We will definitely be returning regularly, as it is much more affordable than other restaurants in the area.

I had a fantastic experience at Tollgate with my friends at this lively pub. I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be a great night. The free jukebox and delicious burgers made for a fun time. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even though they were busy. The restaurant also has spacious gardens.

I was served by a really cool guy named Billy. I forgot my phone at the bar and he kept it for me. Also greeted by a lovely customer, who also spoke favourably of the establishment. Billy could do with with a bonus or some acknowledgement of his lovely attitude and honesty. Thanks Marlon

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, great music, and friendly patrons. It's perfect for families, groups of friends, or even dining alone. The staff is excellent and the owner is doing an exceptional job. I highly recommend this place.

Loved the chicken skewers absolutely delicious definitely recommend to everyone best thing on menu. Also the treacle sponge was amazing and staff was welcoming and helpful and a great family pub asked who chef was cooked to perfection

I always order the buttermilk Italian style chicken when visiting the tollgate, however tonight was the best it had ever tasted. I asked to compliment the chef and was delighted to meet Jane Hockling. Thanks Jane it was delicious

The staff were all delightful. The food was outstanding and Chef Jane was willing to accommodate any requests. The dishes were cooked perfectly and served promptly. We are excited for our next visit.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly. The food and drinks are delicious, and the added bonus of good music and a pool table makes for a great experience.
