I recently stayed at the Traddock hotel for their gourmet break offer and I must say, it was an incredible find. The food was outstanding and the rooms were fantastic. We stayed in a spacious and immaculately clean top floor suite with a modern bathroom. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the meal was well-paced. I enjoyed the crab and venison, while my wife loved the crab and monkfish. The wine selection was good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast spread was plentiful with a variety of fruits and hot dishes made to order. Overall, a wonderful hotel in a stunning location. We will definitely be returning.
We visited The Traddock for a meal because it is a beautiful building located in the charming village of Austwick. The front of house service and service in the restaurant were both excellent. However, we were disappointed with the portion sizes of the food, which were more like a tasting session than a full meal. The food itself was extremely tasty, leaving us wanting more. Despite still feeling hungry after the meal, we opted for dessert as part of the experience. Unfortunately, we were left unsatisfied and ended up preparing supper when we got home. Overall, the food was delicious but the portion sizes were lacking.
We booked the Traddock for dinner with one of our wine suppliers and his wife and were not disappointed. We had a lovely evening and the food was 10 out of 10. I can particularly recommend the halibut. The atmosphere at the Traddock is refined, but really relaxed and friendly. Need to eat here a little more often.
