What a lovely pub that we could have completely missed if circumstances hadn’t lead us here. Tried to book a few restaurants closer to our hotel when visiting Harry Potter Studio Tours this weekend, but due to the current situation many were closed for food,...which lead us to The Unicorn. Ordered our drinks and the Guinness was perfectly served. The girls drinks looked elegant in their glasses. Ordered food, chilli nachos x bangers and mash and a child’s pasta. All beautifully homemade and delicious. The landlady was fabulous. Really welcoming and we had lovely conversation with her. Her staff were helpful and polite. Phoned in advance as daughter uses a wheelchair and although no access they said they would help her in, on arrival I carried her in instead and the landlady was waiting for us with a chair ready for her! She was so welcoming and the...pub had a lovely atmosphere. The food was FABULOUS -we had the roast and it was huge! My daughters were treated like princesses and we got chatting to some locals. Such a friendly place. Such a pity it’s so far for us otherwise I’d be back there every week! Thank you for being so accommodating x
I had eaten here for the first time today. what a beautiful place. my man had the sausage bag and I the thunfish. Both were delicious. as it was a particularly mild day, we sat outside. a so beautiful opposite. I use a mobility scooter and. there was a lot of space for it. the service was fast and we were served by a very friendly lady. my man went to order the food and he said there was a very nice atmosphere. the prices were also very reasonable. we're coming back.
this place is great, we were over and out of place for harry potter studios, the renters and employees were beautiful, very friendly and brilliant service. the kitchen was closed, but the renter made us some really nice plates she didn't need. do, but offered and they were very delicious. honestly a really good British pub and great service and atmosphere! friendly, friendly and we come back here. this is what they want from a pub, highly recommended!
without doubt the best pub family meal in remembrance impeccable service, top quality and very tasty eating, wonderful friendly staff and a very happy gluten-free child that was amazingly worried and had full frying with g/f gravy and yorkshire puddings this. platz goes the extra mile and is a fantastic location for pre- or post visit warner bros for the harry potter experience!
Amazing friendly atmosphere and native all was welcome was a because since ive drinking since the pandemic and felt safe and happy to be back. highly recommended and take care to make sure that they wait warm for the taxi and check their elevator...home is on the way, nice to take care, especially after a few to many gins! love the pub dog additionally bonus, dog cuddles.
We stopped off for dinner on the way to the Harry Potter studio tour after seeing reviews on here. We were not disappointed. It was very busy but the staff were very attentive and the food was fantastic so it didn’t affect us at all....I would definitely recommend. I am just disappointed we hadn’t given ourselves enough time to have pudding.
