The Valhalla Crossing

My family and I just had lunch at Valhalla Crossing for the first and last time. Upon entering we were seated immediately however we noticed that the dining area was just about empty. Therefore we do not understand why our server seemed to be in a rush to get us out of there. She was very insistent on taking our orders within minutes of being seated and after asking her to give us a few more minutes to decide, she literally came back to our table 30 seconds later ready to take our order. I had 40 minutes to spend while waiting for my train, so I decided to check out Valhalla Crossing. I ordered The Crossing Signature Burger with coleslaw on the side. The burger was quite good, but the meat patty was unsalted. After adding some salt, the flavors immediately improved. It was quite a big burger, which was great, but it was too tall to comfortably take a bite. I wasn't too thrilled with the coleslaw, as the vegetables were drowning in watery mayonnaise, and I don't think adding bell pepper was a good idea. However, the service was excellent. The hostess and waitress were very nice and attentive. Overall, I think it's a decent place and a nice spot to enjoy some food.

I went to Valhalla Crossing for a repast . They treated my family like gold. The older building they occupy has been made into a warm , comfortable venue. I imagine that this place must have a huge local following and appeal to travelers too. The food ranged from good to outstanding. Service was super friendly from top to bottom. I would recommend them for personal or professional circumstances.

Awesome restaurant We went in a Friday night- party of 4 We enjoyed our meals : large pretzel was very good, burger, Cobb salad and stuffed shrimp very good with a good air serving. Hubby thought onion soup was salty but otherwise all was good. Our server Nicole was very pleasant. I’d return when in the area. Loved the atmosphere of the old rail cars Reserva una mesa ahora

This place has been a personal favorite for over 20 years for me. You can't beat the amazing food and presentation, the atmosphere is classic and nostalgic, and always friendly staff. The bar feels like a blast from the past, with affordable prices, which is hard to find. Will always recommend the Crossing

I'm not sure if they were having an off day or if someone quit but the service was very poor. Our drinks were empty the majority of the time. My food was wrong, they did fix it. I'll try it one more time but we were there just after 12:30 PM on a week day, meh. One more shot!

Found this place on the way to Kensico dam plaza. Not really vegan friendly but overall beautiful place to eat and watch the trains go by.
