Such a lovely place. The Vanguard. So, I'm originally in from Texas, and eventually will be relocating to the area. Since my work is relocating me to the general visicinty. This place was very welcoming. I ordered a miller lite, and some fried pickles.Both were exceptional. Also, I ended up staying and waiting for my ole lady. We ended up having dinner and a few drinks there aswell. The location of this place is pretty good. It is located around really nice apartments that appear to have been recentlybuilt. Brunch at The Vanguard was about what you'd expect for a brunch. There was a light crowd. The space felt covid safe as groups were definitely seated spaces out. THE GREAT: The unexpected ???? of our brunch were the fried pickles. They were delicious. Light, crispy, enjoyable. The red sangria was so good. The waffle was amazing. THE NO-SO-GREAT: 3 of us opted for Chicken &Waffles which is served like a huge sandwich. While the waffle was outstanding (as mentioned) and the chicken was crispy,???????? the chicken could have used a little more seasoning,???????? It was dry,????????and it was lukewarm ????????. Thursday nights in Harrison have just gotten even better with Jazz Night at the Vanguard. Every Thursday, you can enjoy live music in a cozy lounge area where you can dine, sip on drinks, and groove to the music. The food was delicious, especially the recommended burger and beer special. The drinks were satisfying and the service was excellent. In the lounge, you have to order at the bar, but staff will bring your drinks and food to you. It felt like a private mini concert, and I had a fantastic time. My only suggestion for the venue would be to have some music playing during the musicians' breaks. I will definitely be returning and bringing along more friends next time.

Came here before a game at the arena. Food was subpar at most. Baked Salmon was extremely bland and the risotto tasted very stale. The burgers my friends had were surprisingly good considering the orders were wrong. The wings were more on the soggy side than crispy. The mozzarella sticks undercooked. When asking for utensils for three people, only one was issued. Asking for napkins. 2 were offered for 3 people. I am assuming the manager was having a bad day, because when sitting down at the bar and asking for menus, he looked annoyed.The positive side are that the beers are fresh and crisp. Mac and cheese was good.... wings were tasty and meaty. My espresso martini made to my liking with my suggestions. If you don't make any suggestions it might be too sweetParking: If you choose to park on the street you have to pay for the meter all tlmes.. There must have been a game the day I came so that's probably why parking was extra difficult at that time. There is a parking deck but I'm not sure the rates for that.

I attended a brunch here with a few friends it was phenomenal. The food was excellent, as were the bottomless mimosas sangrias. The music was great. It did get really crowded towards the late afternoon, so that was time for us to go, lol. I will definitely attend another even held here. FYI there is no parking for this venue, you'll have to park around the corner in a parking garage or find street parking.

Every time I come here I have had an exceptional experience the staff are so wonderful from Angie to mark and every team member bartenders, bar backs and servers they made my time here feel like home! The food and the drinks are phenomenal! 100% recommend!

My partner and I had a fantastic date night at The Vanguard for the first time. It's definitely a restaurant worth trying, especially during the holidays. Make sure to use the parking lot on the side of the building, as parking can be challenging. Cheers! Reserva una mesa ahora

The food was amazing! The server was fantastic! The atmosphere was really pleasant! This is one of the top spots for food in Harrison! I will definitely return and try more dishes. It was a delightful experience.

Mark greeted and us. He was so friendly and sweet. Our waitress was pretty cool too, I'm sorry I forgot her name. I'm from Jamaica and was visiting. Kudos to everyone. The food was great too. ?
