The View Oceanside Grill

I still dream of the view seafood mac cheese. my friends and I visited a night out of the mainland and the view was one of the top spots that appeared in a Google search for evening options. After we have read all the brilliant reviews, we decided to give it a try and I am so glad that we have done it! our server was so beautiful and friendly. the ambiente is beautiful, I wish it was a bit warmer than the place we sat on the back of the restaurant was quite cool. we ordered the calamari and prawns gratin for appies and then shared the three entrees: seafood mac cheese, linguine capesante and seared halibut risotto. everything we cost was incredible! we were sad that we were no longer hungry...

Family came up from Oregon. Had a meal here at the View. We each ordered different dishes. Quality was excellent. Our server was very attentive. We moved here from Vancouver. We have been looking for a nice place to take friends and family. We will keep this on our list. We had the black tiger prawn starter. Wow. Very delicious. My sister loved the seafood Mac and cheese. Bro in law had seafood fettuccine. Bene. Spouse had tenderloin medallions. Sauce to die for. I always get fish...I decided to try something else. Had the braised beef rib. OMG as they say. stops by impromptu at 4:50pm. I was just happy to eat alone and the hostess could impress me. as Asian, the lobster is still light on the raw side, the mush with the pairing sauce was great, although they were a small size as montreal (I think I would have given such a hard review). the skalopp has another little sand. please remember the personal to rub them with a maisstarch. as far as the garnels are concerned, I would not have used this sort of garnish for any boiled seafood plate. plz source better prawn. good was that the staff was really nice. So it was worth $90. if ur main goal is to hang and socialize, the view is great. next time I'll go to mahle house to compare.

This was our first time visiting the view and it certainly will not be our last. Both our meals were flavorful and well prepared. Our server was exceptional. She was attentive but not over the top to an annoying point. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful with gorgeous ocean views. By far the best seafood restaurant I've been too in Nanaimo!!! I absolutely loved my dinner there. I chose the view mac n cheese and oh wow, that was delicious! very generous! much taste! price represent a beautiful place and deliver on the chic side! the service is not fast, but who is on the hurry when they go there? Enjoy a really nice teller, take her time and enjoy her every bite!

Sharon was our server and absolutely so friendly. She would be my good friend If I lived in nanaimo.The food was amazing! The portions are basically two meals. And the flavors, seafood are top qaulity and cost is fantastic for the great quality of food.Hats off the the chefs, the ambiance and the friendly servers.

beautiful portions, tasty and beautiful location. You'll have it for your money. the waitress seemed a little embarrassed on the other hand and hard to understand by its voice tone too low. However, I recommend this place.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding. The menu clearly indicates that there are many gluten-free options to choose from. I highly recommend trying the sockeye salmon - it was absolutely delicious!
