The Village Torquay

It's often the case that attractions nearest ones' home are not noticed, and in this case The Village was completely unknown to me until last week. Situated close to the intersection of Feltham and Shelboune, and next to the Starbucks, ample parking is available. There is an outdoor, screened eating area and seating inside.The fist brunch item I will try at any new establishment is the Benny, and The Village offers a diverse range featuring unique flavor combinations. I sampled the 'Italian Benny' which comprises marinated portobello mushrooms, basil pesto, Parmesan, green onions and hollandaise sauce. We came here on account of all the instagram photos of their Monday night ramen. Service was excellent, but the ramen fell short. Presentation was gorgeous. Broth was sub par, just tasted like a beef broth diluted in water. Mushrooms and crispy chicken skin were both fantastic. The noodle itself though was undercooked, and "pulled chicken" had no flavour. Will not go back for this ramen, may try a breakfast item down the road.

We sat outside on the patio on a wonderful sunny day. Everything about our lunch was beautiful. The service was great and she was always smiling so nice to see. Our plates were beautiful and tasted great too. Drink menu was a little small but everything else was right on point for a lovely Saturday lunch date.

I was visiting friends nearby, and they recommended that we eat at The Village for lunch. It was delicious food with a great local atmosphere. I really enjoyed the fresh cuisine and the unique pairings of the food.

Best Eggs Benny ever! Served all day. Healthy eats. Super friendly! Great addition to our neighbourhood. Highly recommended!!
