We were doing a driving tour in Northern Ireland and were looking for somewhere to get lunch when we found the Vintage Tea Room. Situated on the roundabout at the junction of the A31 and A29 in Moneymore, the Vintage Tea Room is an absolute delight to discover. The food is prepared on site individually for your order and is very well presented. Servings are very generous and the prices are very reasonable. One thing to bear in mind is that this is not a fast food outlet so go there to relax and enjoy the ambiance. You will not be disappointed. There is a large Free car park at the rear of the Tea Room. Opening times are Tuesday to Friday 12ish to 3ish.
We stumbled upon this charming little spot on our way back from Cookstown today. We parked in the free lot at the back of the building. As soon as we stepped inside, Irene greeted us warmly with friendly conversation and smiles. After being seated, she walked us through the menu and allowed us plenty of time to make our choices. The broccoli soup and homemade wheaten bread were absolutely delightful! I could have lingered there for hours; it felt like visiting a close relative, a feeling I haven’t had since my late mother's house. If you appreciate old-world charm, the Vintage Tea Room is a must-visit for a coffee.
We didn't want to stop until we spotted the sign for Vintage Tea Rooms, and we're so glad we took that impromptu break. Trevor and Irene are the most wonderful couple you'll ever meet. Everything in the tea room has a cozy, homemade feel. Trevor, who used to be a pig farmer, knows a lot about meat, curing, and aging. Irene, on the other hand, is a cake expert, and together they provide a fantastic tea room experience. We're so pleased we stopped by, and we would definitely recommend it!
I had a lovely experience at the vintage tea room today, where I enjoyed a beautiful teapot and a delicious scone with jam. The warm welcome from the charming owners made it even more special. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

As an American I wanted to true Irish tea room experience and this place delivered! Unbelievably delicious food, all home made and an amazing selection of tea. A definite must go to if you are in the area. Enjoy!
What a beautiful place! We stopped for some hot drinks and scones with jam and cream, and it was delightful. We were warmly welcomed, and we really enjoyed the lovely atmosphere.
I absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful. It's truly a hidden gem in the community. I can't wait for my next visit!
