This is a pleasant little local pub that my wife and I like to call in on occasion when we are in bexleyheath. We usually stop in for a few hours of an afternoon when in town and always find it decent and welcoming with affordable prices too. Obviously a watering hole for the residents nearby (as most drinkers seem to know each other) but everyone minds their own business and allow you to go about yours unhindered. It also has a nice beer garden that we sat in and enjoyed. Down to earth efficient polite barstaff who pour a good pint, this for us is a great little 'stop off ' that breaks our journey home and we have no cause of complaint so far.
Unfortunately we went there tonight only to be refused entry as it was 11.01pm and though normally fine as open until 1am, we were refused as a private party that if you got in after 11pm you were too late. Shouldn't that be on the website? We have supported this establishment since it was saved a few years back from closure, as we were friends with a backer. But now saved they can apparently be pompous.... not a good look
A pub next to Sherlock Holmes museum at the Baker Street (and close to Madame Tussauds). A traditional English pub (at least according to my tourist imagination). We had a good lunch there but it is not the place I would specially travel several stops by Underground, bus etc.
This famous pub is in dire need of a makeover, and it's disappointing that the brewery has let it deteriorate to this extent. The average price per person ranges from £10 to £20, the service is rated 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere is rated 1 out of 5.

I have lived in this area for 32 years and this was my first visit to this great small pub. I had a fantastic pint of Guinness! The service was excellent (5/5) and the atmosphere was wonderful (5/5).
