Avoid! Terrible food that was served cold. But worse than the food was service from the manager rude staff. When we told her that the food was cold, which was a curry, she then decided to give us a complimentary plain bowl of rice with no curry on it. Then at the end when we had probably one of the worst with meals of our life, she took £3 off off the bill when we hadn’t touched barely any of our dinner. She said we took too long to complain, but that happens when no staff are in the room to tell. Eventually I got up to tell them about the issue and found them in a different room. We visited here on Monday during a trip to Edinburgh and honestly all 5 of my stars go to our server Rex! Never had a waiter anywhere compare to his service and we eat out A LOT! Super helpful and couldn’t do enough for us even in the super busy festive period. The vibe and atmosphere is so good and the interior is simply gorgeous! We didn’t try any of the cocktails but they looked and sounded delicious and our food was delightful. All around impressed but definitely needed to give an extra emphasis on the staff especially Rex!
The Voodoo Rooms boasts stunning aesthetics but falls short in creating a cozy ambiance. It's safe to say that the Voodoo bar is undeniably beautiful; everything is crafted with top-notch quality. However, the staff lacks friendliness, and the drinks are prepared without much care. Despite the grandeur, it exudes an empty and uncomfortable atmosphere. All in all, I'd recommend the average tourist to make a brief stop here, but don't anticipate spending more than half an hour.

I’ve always loved the Voodoo Rooms, until this evening. Went there tonight with my partner, we were shown to a table by a waitress who went on to explain what ales they didn’t have. Ok, we are fine with that. My partner went up to the bar, stood for over 5 mins with no one behind the bar , BUT 3 staff stood at the end of same bar with no regard to people waiting to be served. Result we gave up and left to go elsewhere. Shame it’ll make me think about ever going there again.
Friendly staff, great cocktails and the food (specifically the burger and fries) was delicious. Generous food portions and overall good value for money. The atmosphere was buzzing and decor is impressive! The only reason I didn't give it the full 5 starts (would give 4.5 if I could) is that the toilets could do with a good clean and revamp.
A bit noisy in a busy Friday night, but that's pretty much all I can say on the negative side. The service was perfect, and the waitress (Tanisha) even spoke a way better French than my poor English. The food was incredible (the prawns) and the cocktail I took was delicious.
A gorgeous, quirky bar with a fab, relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the drinks were delicious! Well worth a visit if you’re in Edinburgh! The Interiors are great, with a few different rooms, so plenty of places to sit!
