After been unable to get tickets for play offs we decided to still make a day of it and after googling some pubs we decided on The Vulcan and so glad that we did. Short walk from train station and several tv's to watch sky sports. Within a short time we felt like one of the locals. Regulars were coming up and shaking our hands and introducing themselves and the wonderful bar staff really made us feel comfortable. Genuinely had a fantastic day out and would like to thank all for their hospitality. Definitely a pub to visit and we will be returning!!

Despite its reputation, I've always found it to have a welcoming atmosphere and have never witnessed any trouble, despite some people choosing to avoid it.
A few of us called in the Vulcan after a meal out with friends for a few drinks. What a mistake. Terrible place do was mad as a had her and the clientele left a lot to be desired. One middle aged guy looked off his head on (something) then 2 younger blokes came in very threatening squaring up to us for no reason whatsoever. full of deadbeats and lunatics worst place I have ever been in NEVER AGAIN

Lady serving food was very rude! Could hear her saying how much of a mess we had made ...but we have 3 children and a baby! That was behind our back ...she approached the the table saying a bomb had gone off! Have yo never heard that saying before... made us feel very awkward...
I used to frequent this restaurant often during my college years and always had a great time. I loved chatting with locals, even the postmen, and found the atmosphere at the bar to be very welcoming and enjoyable.
If you're searching for a comforting and delicious meal for lunch or a Friday evening out, Gravy and Beryl is the perfect spot. They have reasonable prices and are well-loved by the community.
One of the best boozers in Huddersfield great atmosphere full of HTFC Town lads decent beer at good prices and good tunes on jukebox pool table

This small pub is absolutely brilliant, with a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. I really enjoyed it.
