We came for a carvery this afternoon after a few recommendations about this place, and so I am really disappointed to be writing this. I did voice these concerns when I paid my bill, but the young lady behind the till who took my payment didn’t really have much to say. The service today was absolutely shocking. It wasn’t particularly busy when we were there, so there aren’t really any excuses for poor service. Especially when the staff are stood around chatting, despite seeing our plates piled up ready for clearing etc. The thing that has really spoilt the experience today (aside from the dogs constantly barking) was the lack of hygiene. I visited this restaurant for the first time with a friend and was surprised to see a 6ft long box blocking the aisle. It had been left there for a long time, causing customers to navigate around it or kick it out of the way. The staff seemed unconcerned and unhelpful. When I asked a customer about the cafe's name, they mentioned that the box was meant for kids to play in. However, this created a safety hazard as it took up the entire aisle. If someone had tripped over it, the restaurant could have faced expensive repercussions. It seemed like the person in charge did not consider the potential risks to customers.
The staff at the restaurant were friendly, but I would not recommend going unless you enjoy waiting for over an hour surrounded by hungry and unruly children. The food quality was below average, served in a mediocre setting. The kitchen seemed to struggle even with simple dishes like frozen burgers and bland pasta. The turquoise mayonnaise on the burgers was a strange attempt at presentation. I felt sorry for the staff who seemed embarrassed by the food quality. Our waitress was kind and good with our children, but we will not be returning despite staying nearby. Overall, a disappointing experience.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is stunning, the staff is wonderful, and the food is outstanding. We celebrated my wife's birthday here and both enjoyed the sirloin steak, which was top-notch. The desserts were also delicious. We felt welcomed by all the staff and the manager, and even had the pleasure of meeting the passionate chef. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Despite the distance (50 miles from our home), we will definitely be returning.

Visited here for an evening meal whilst on a stay at woodland lake lodges. Staff were lovely and Friendly. Choice of food and drinks were decent. All food was made fresh and was to a high standard. If you’re staying at the lodges would recommend you give this place a try. We will definitely go back next time we visit. Hopefully on a weekend next time, as I have heard their Sunday lunches are also amazing!
Lots of choice on the menu but the food was admittedly disappointing. We were staying on site so it was handy and the restaurant got busy (Tuesday evening) but we got there early doors and hadn’t pre booked. Food was ok, some better than others. Pizzas looked homecooked and could see the chef splitting the dough. Burger however was very disappointing and felt very much frozen.
Had Suday carvery. Food was excelent service was great. Also had deaert Cheesecake which was amazing. Everything gets 10/10. Beautiful decore and wonderfull atmosphere. Definatly recomend.
7 friends booked and had the carvery. Really impressed. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was really good. All in all an exceptional experience, will definitely be back .

A fantastic place to come for food. The food was great with friendly and professional service but you still felt relaxed while there
