We ate here as a group of friends on a Monday night, looking for a decent meal and pint after a days work and a sports function on in the evening, so we thought we would try the refurbished Wembley Hotel - mistake! The place is quite nice inside, more open plan, and it seems more spacious. Plenty of choice with tap beers, and the staff sometimes seemed like they knew how to use the tills. New tills perhaps?I ordered the Grass Fed Rump Steak, but the cow must of been eating astroturf! The steak was rubbery, under-cooked (asked for medium but it was rare) and for $27 you should expect A LOT better! After sharing the steak with two other friends on the table they also agreed and said i should tak...

This is quite a pleasant venue for a meal and/or a drink with friendly service and overall a nice atmosphere. However the food is barely average and to call it a Gastropub is something of an overstatement. We were a group of 14 and none of us were impressed by the food. The snapper fillets were tough and tasteless and at least 2 people sent it back. The crab linguini was overly oily and the spices completely obliterated any taste of the crab.Again too much oil spoilt the salmon carpaccio. The pan fried gnocchi was a congealed, cheesy compilation with no discrete gnocchi discernible. It did however taste quite nice despite the consistency.Steaks were reported as being OK.So the venue is nice, ser...

Went for lunch with the girls derby wknd. When I ordered I made sure to order the vegan dish 1st (nachos with sour cream on the side) when our food came out this dish didn't, it was explained it didn't go on the bill. So we paid & they brought them out but covered in cheese (not even listed on the menu) & sour cream. When we queried it, it was like they wanted us to buy another one. We didn't and they finally they brought them out correct. later on when our plates got cleared we had finished eating but my vegan friend still had half the nachos left, she was clearly still eating but her plate got cleared too. We called out but the waiter "didn't" hear us we couldn't be bothered arguing again...

I have been watching the pub over the last 12 months as it went through its refurbishment and have been in many times. As with anything new they have had there teething problems but now they have got there act together and it's a top notch pub with great food and a great atmosphere the menu is very good with a great variety of food. The price seems about right for Perth and it's very kid friendly. I love the Sunday afternoon session sitting under the sun listing to the great live music. One of my Fav pubs in Perth let's hope it only gets bigger and better. Keep up the good work Reserva una mesa ahora

Had to check out the new renovated Wembley, was very open and cool design. We ordered the Steak and when it finally came out it was massive.I went to cut it and had to grit my teeth to punch through it with my knife.......the taste was consistent with the cut, was like trying to eat a old boot and if I had dropped it it could of bounced.I would suggest checking it out but steer away from the bouncy sirloin Steak.

Great for family outing, plenty of TVs to catch up on the AFL. Easy street parking, first 30 mins free.Spacious seating, generous portion. Chips were on the soggy side for most of our order. Steak was cook to perfection but lack flavour, fish of the day was below par. Drinks order was a total disaster, how they can handle when it full. Overall ok for a meal if one in the area.

Same as all the rest of the reviews.Overpriced for a local hotel.Staff on the defense because they are the front line and bear the brunt of the negative feedback that is constant. One can go to lots of other hotels and we are it seems as the Wembley looks empty and miserable most of the time.Shame too see such a once popular local watering hole being dragged down.

New Wembley is not my favourite. Specials aren't very special. Bring back pints! And if you are going to serve schooners call them schooners. So I know I'm paying $12 for a schooner. Beer selection is still good Reserva una mesa ahora

Good Pub Grub and a very friendly attentive waitress. 2 large screen TV's to keep up-to-date with sport. Unusual surroundings - 1930's according to the website.
