very disappointing after we have been local in this pub for years, the new owners have taken an apology for the younger generation of the pub, we have always spent huge amounts of money in this pub over the years and suddenly we are welcomed...with a frosty reception, said we are not allowed to use the outside heating, followed in the toilets and said we are not welcome here or the faggot. After we visited a menu at 2.30 in the afternoon (kitchen closes 3), we were told that they did not eat, although tables around us eat and receive food. we are more than happy to take our good morals elsewhere and to support other local businesses in the region, as we are always greeted with smiles and ope...

Came in tonight with family, we were driving through villages around the south and stumbled across this pub. Was very friendly and welcoming, and even came across another Irish person. Enjoyed the drink, and even with only 1 chef working in the kitchen, the food...was excellent. I had the prawns for starter, with the pie for main and chocolate tart for dessert. All dishes were delicious, brought to us by very friendly, talkative staff. Overall a very good night.

We visited for a reunion with friends. The pub had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the owner went out of his way to help us, particular with concern over allergies. We did have a minor problem with the meal but this was quickly resolved and...compensated so didn't affect our visit. In fact the owner went over and above to make us welcome. The food and drinks were good and we would come again.

my wife and I visited the wheatsheaf in midhurst several times recently and were never disappointed, always a very warm welcome as soon as we go in. food orders are always taken by attentive employees, and decent size...shares of foods that are always served, sharp and full taste (the Korean chicken wings are amazing) always arrive quickly. Thank you.

Had an hour to spare so popped in for a quick drink. We had the warmest welcome I have ever received , the landlord and his daughter really made us feel welcome. The beer was great and the pub is set in a really interesting...historical building. Looking forward to coming back and eating here. If you are in town pop in you won’t be disappointed

really nice meal and drinks in the wheatsheaf. we booked the wheatsheaf when we wanted a pub with more character than their average greene king and the wheatsheaf. great food, good beer and fantastic service. would recommend and we will definitely be back. thanks. the team could not have been more helpful or more attentive.

We popped in for a pint out of the blue. We were greeted by friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. I was particularly pleased to see good covid cleaning protocols between customers.

My wife and I decided to visit for dinner having heard that The Wheatsheaf was under new management. We had an exceptional dinner with super friendly service and very good food.
