The White Hart - Reservar una mesa

I had lunch with a friend at this pub. It is a beautiful pub. I had phoned earlier to check their ability to provide gluten-free food and they said that as everything was cooked from fresh they could adapt anything on the menu. We had a very pleasant glass of white wine whilst waiting an hour for our meal. As the meal we had ordered was the cold fish platter. We were quite surprised at this rather long delay. Unfortunately, although the platter is served with bread, they had no gluten-free alternatives. I suggested chips, but these are cooked in the same fat as breaded food (this is a rather bizarre and old-fashioned way of cooking chips since it simply means the chips taste of whatever you'...

Three of the menu choices were off. The Thai crab starter was far too salty. Despite being quiet, the food was not collected by the waiting staff when the kitchen said it was ready, mustard was left in the kitchen and not brought to the table until prompted. An expensive but disappointing experience.

A most enjoyable evening, the food was both well presented and tasty, the staff were engaging and attentive. A great experience on our door step we’ll be back

The team at the White Heart made us feel great. Fizz Friday was a great idea, food was stunning ginger parkin was delicious, highly recommend the place!
