Brand new people (a nice couple took over the Lion in the past few weeks. I’ve been in a few times and see they are slowly and surely turning the place round without fuss and stupid promises. Had our Sunday dinner in there last week and have to say it was excellent. You had to Pre-book which is fair enough as they explained they are building up the business so why spend so much money on stock. Really good home cooked meal so definitely will be back and brilliant value. 3 courses for £13. Well done and keep the good work going !
Really nice starter Bacon and Black Pudding Stack very yummy and well presented. Large Roast Dinner ,one beef one chicken exellent roast potatos ,a full size pig in blacket and a good selection of veg and plenty of gravy. Didnt manage to leave room for a sweet ... next time. The White Lion has a good size garden with a play area . The young couple who are running the pub have made a really good start in makeing this pub a success .
Very friendly landlord and landlady, always make you feel welcome and have worked hard to build up a nice community atmosphere. Sunday dinners are excellent and the landlady's homemade cheesecake and pavlova is to die for. Would also definitely recommend the curries on a Thursday evening, excellent authentic punjabi cuisine.
Place as new owners a young family. .the food is very good . places needs support so they can make the lion. a great pub and food good atmosphere is good when they have a events on very popular plenty of parking. Oh Yeh very large selection of draft and bottle to choose from.

No heating on ,not good food plates cold some food cold no customers
Ignorant bar worker, place was filthy soulless.never to visit again.

Great Local Pub. Was quiet on Boxing day but well worth a visit
