A few years ago, we had a great experience at this restaurant with fresh pies and excellent service. However, my recent visit was disappointing, as the food seemed to be reheated and old. The soups were cold and had to be sent back, and even the pies were so tough that we couldn't cut through them with a knife. The steaks were also difficult to chew and overall, the food was inedible. It's unfortunate to see such a decline in quality, and as much as we were looking forward to returning, we will have to pass on coming back in the future.
The hotel was absolutely lovely, the staff are really warm and welcoming. The people in the next room however kept making a lot of noise through the night (not the white lions fault I know) but the constant noise stopped us from sleeping well. Will be staying again though. Rooms: Have a rustic but romantic feel to the room. (Rooms 7 8 9 and I think 10 which are not in the main building) lots of space. Nearby activities: Good for visits to the NEC Rooms: 4
Great hotel if you have to get to the airport quickly, it is a few kilometers away and yet it does not bother you. Cozy pub with a flexible way of thinking, so I can get away early in the morning without anyone having to get up. Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 4
Although I'm local it was my first ever visit. My Chiropodist recommended it to me this week. We're both real ale fans and he said the beers are well kept. Well my pint of Proper Job was proof .....it went down so well. I'll be back. Service: 5 Location: 5

The restaurant has a great selection of cask ales, all in good condition. The pies are authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and we definitely plan on returning.

Just went into the car park for a drink 14,15pm it was closed, but had to pay for parking
