visited two times at a weekend. the first time for drinks and there was a good atmosphere on a Friday night. a couple of hand-drawn ales. good selection on gin. on Saturday night again to eat. arrived at 8 and the chef saw us. View the menu and told us service ended at 8. he must have seen our disappointment as he offered us very kindly eating. so glad that he did it. had the steak and ale cake and it was really good, from a larger cake tablet with short crust baked goods up and down. chips were double-fried correct chips. veg was a little disappointing, but can not complain, as the cook stayed back to cook for us. eating was also very cheap. would recommend you to visit and will go back whe...
I can't praise the white swan enough. that was my first visit. well, it was Sunday afternoon, and this was a good Sunday dinner. pork gammon joints my decisions- were perfectly cooked generously served. nice were fresh enough. stuffing Yorkshire...Puds that most carveries are wrong were really costed. the best of all were the roasted carrots before the roasted parboiled .. never something so finely served. plus mouthwater traditional puddings. friendly staff. how the parachutists must appreciate this place!
Visited today with our new dog who is nervous. They told us we could sit in the quiet area for him. They welcomed us in and staff made a kind effort to offer him water and a treat to relax him. Had the steak pie...and chips, all homemade, and it was the best pub meal I’ve had. Music not too loud too. Different areas in the pub, e.g. a cloth-tabled restaurant, a bar, a quiet dog area (where we were).
Best description is a real cosy pub with friendly staff and customers. The bar music is brilliant, a lovely nostalgic 80s collection in the main, and many charity and guest singer events too. We drink here regularly on a Sunday, always great to see...lovely Dennis the black labrador resident, ...it's dog friendly, and a dying breed of REAL local pubs with character and wholesome food on offer too.

we order food and drink as we arrived there and the cook was on the bar so that he is hard order we order a 2nd round drinks and someone orded food got r ethere’s be4 us the bed was very arrogant and abrupt we...expects another 15 minutes and still not home we just came up and left again I would not advise anyone to go to eat it very
Been here a few times and everytime had a very enjoyable time. Had a few meals also and every meal had has been excellent. Prices good, portion are good staff are really nice. Will be going again as working our way through the menu.
Prices of drink on the high side, just shy of £9 for 2 lagers. Bar staff friendly enough and a beer garden (it’s part of the car park) available. Saturday hight very quite. They do food but didn’t partake.
party of 6 ate on a Sunday after a walk carvery was great with good portions. will be visited again. good choice of beer and all efforts made for veggie member of our party.

Lovely local pub with good food and friendly staff. The only thing missing is an accessible disabled toilet, which should be provided in all public premises.
Typical little local pub. Great range of reasonably priced ales and a nice variety of well priced and well presented food
