White Swan, more like an ugly duckling which didn't get the right script! Now the only pub in Eardisland it has so much potential in the right hands but sadly this pub is run by a landlord stuck in the with his foul, sexist banter shockingly awful over priced food from a menu, filthy interior (god knows what the kitchen is like, landlord thinks he's a chef beer garden which could be mistaken for a scene of fly-tipping I could go on but so should you to Kingsland or Presteigne where there are real country pubs where they value their customers and know how to run a business!
Went in for drinks and maybe lunch. There was a non existent welcome from the bar person, I came to the opinion that we’d interrupted something. We were obviously late for Sunday dinner, so that wasn’t an option. I ordered our drinks, my pint needed a top up, as the pint measure is too the top of the glass, not an inch below (bring back imperial glasses) I asked if he would mind topping it up, he begrudgingly did so. The atmosphere in the pub was non existent, so we didn’t bother having another drink, and left once we’d finished our drinks. We wouldn’t go there again.
My family and friends have been going to this lovely old pub for a few years now and we always receive a warm welcome from the friendly owner Tim, his wife Lorna, and their staff, Chip. The atmosphere is great. We had a delicious Sunday lunch in September with a choice of turkey or beef and a variety of vegetables - cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, and peas - along with fantastic roast potatoes. Everything tasted amazing. We give it a perfect ten out of ten. We'll be back next week with our loyalty card, maybe trying the roast pork and crackling. Chris, Pete, Josie xx.
My family and I went to The White Swan for Sunday lunch and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, and they had excellent vegetarian options as well. We really enjoyed the friendly, community atmosphere of the pub. The staff were welcoming and there was lots of laughter and smiles all around. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Eardisland. The White Swan is a gem in the village! Tim and his team were wonderful. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in Eardisland!

Make sure to check the bar prices before ordering your drinks. We were surprised to be charged £4.50 for a pint of beer, which was a bit expensive but not terrible. However, we were shocked to be charged £8.00 for a small glass of white wine - that felt like being ripped off! The food was enjoyable and reasonably priced, but we will not be returning.
We had a wonderful celebration at The White Swan in Eardisland with friends and family on Saturday. A big thank you to the owner Tim, his wife Lorna, and all the staff for their excellent service. The food was delicious and amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion. We will be back next weekend. Xx
I have been staying in Eardisland this week and have visited the pub every night. The owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful, which was a bonus for us since it is also dog-friendly. We had a couple of meals and they were excellent. I highly recommend this place!
What a miserable unfriendly landlord .hardly said 2 words. Only 1 other couple in there. No atmosphere. Very dissapointed. Won't be going back and certainly don't recommend it either. Perhaps he doesn't like visitors.

The best fish and chips I have ever tasted, only available on Thursday nights. The staff is excellent, they offer great beer brewed on site, and the restaurant is dog-friendly. What more could you ask for?
A pub in a great location with lots of potential sadly let down in a big way by a landlord who is stuck in a sitcom attitude with food to match que the limp pale chips!!!
