The Windsor Castle

The windsor castle, is an excellent friendly little pub. I have spoken to the owner, who is very friendly and approachable. We spoke about the issues raised in the old reviews, he has told me they were addressed a long time ago. In fairness, those reviews are over 2 years old, sometimes longer. In my experience, this pub and it's staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The beer, and the company are just what you would expect from a small family run pub. Excellent! There is a nice outdoor seating area (child friendly), and also a covered conservatory along with a lounge and friendly bar. Give it a try, you wont regret it. You can check the menu, opening times etc, on google maps. Have fun....

We stayed here during our walk along the 'long walk' and when we went back from King George and his horse statue to Windsor Castle, it was a welcome look and much needed. The girl behind the bar was beautiful, she makes you welcome, enjoys a chat and is a great addition to the pub! Eating was GORGEOUS! I would definitely recommend this to a lunch or dinner stop and not just a visit for a pint because the food was amazing! Great location right in front of Windsor Castle, beautiful little pub inside and outside. Well maintained, clean and tables neat. Very recommended for a visit to The Windsor Castle Pub!

This pub has really made an effort recently. Fresh interior, great side extension and outside has been upgraded too. Great location next to The Long Walk, nice beer and wine selection. A most welcome hosting of occasional live music makes this now a place to visit more often. Unlike a previous royal event the pub has redeemed itself by remaining open to locals and visitors (rather than VIPs over the Jubilee weekend and put on a great weekend of entertainment. Highly recommend this place now. Well done The Windsor Castle!

Arrived on a busy Saturday evening and was about to turn round and find somewhere more covid safe when a brilliant Irish bloke swiftly had us seated well away from the herd, and a waitress firmly asked to look after us! Food arrived piping hot, super quick and delicious, amazing customer service. Enjoyed a lovely meal and our evening was saved from disaster by the Irish man who kindly checked in on us a couple of times to make sure we were OK, thank you Highly recommend this place!

A nice pub after running the Long Walk. On the other side of the road for a long walk and almost missed. Food delicious, filling, fast service and very good portions. Dog friendly-ish as we had to sit outside, but used to it. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day, as more people out there than ever. Good place to refuel before you get back.

Even when they came to the pub, an intention was to eat something warm, they had not made the food available at that time. But wine was delicious and warmed me together with the beautiful log fire. Barman was a big man who refused to put my phone on the charger. Definitely recomend and will be back

Perfectly located next to The Long Walk. Customer parking, which was extremely useful. Very friendly, accommodating staff. Good food. Will definitely visit Windsor again.

Friendly staff made it a great Sunday lunch. Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. Made a wonderful change.
