We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the opportunity to meet up for an evening with friends, to celebrate 2 x 50th birthdays. The atmosphere and festive decorations were lovely and we ate outside in a sheltered, heated teepee! Our whole experience would have been 5 stars was it not for the fact a surprise £99 bottle of champagne didn’t get delivered to our table! (we only found out about it once home, as one of our husbands had arranged this as a surprise! . Would have been a wonderful treat I had to phone and ask them to call him and arrange for the money to be refunded to him, which was poor and spoilt an otherwise wonderful evening.

I was excited for this reservation because the food is always fantastic. However, I was disappointed to be seated at a table located between the men's restroom and the back door. The constant traffic and lack of heating made the experience uncomfortable. I understand the COVID rules requiring a separate entrance and exit for diners using outdoor facilities, but that should not have affected the table placement. As a pregnant woman, I would have hoped for a safer and more comfortable dining experience.

The service was excellent despite challenging circumstances. The food cooled down quickly, but having a carpet under the table was a nice touch to keep our legs warm.

nice afternoon of lunch, eating was so good that we had three classes for lunch and skipped to dinner. the fish cake was very fishy, which is a victor!

historically my main concern with this place apart from his London prizes was their refusal to serve a burger rarely. despite serving steak tarts.

really great atmosphere. fantastic pub food and the fish also looked great and the people I really enjoyed with it. the horses or chips were also.

The food was just OK nothing special. Overpriced for what it was. Definitely went down the hill from our last visit few years ago
