The food was lovely but was let down by the staffing. I understand that they want to turn around the tables as quickly as possible so they only give you 1.5 hours to eat Sunday lunch. When the staff don't take your order for 20 minutes you're left with 1 hour 10 minutes for the kitchen to cook and plate 2 courses and to try and eat it within that time. We didn't manage to finish our main course so they started clearing the table while we were still eating as they needed the table back. It's not the cheapest restaurant so i expect to be able to finish a meal at the table in peace. They said we could eat our pudding in the bar area, needless to say we didn't take them up on this offer and won'...
Something is very wrong here, it seems The jovial Manager with the beard who has been there years seems to have disappeared overnight and there is now a stern faced chap seemingly in charge. Turnover of staff seems to be very high I go 3 4 times a week and am regularly served by people I've never seen before and then never see again ! The real ale choice used to be 5 options, now regularly just 3. I was told that Moleface are no longer operating the pub, which might explain some of the above, but I'm not sure how reliable that information source actually is. Very disappointing all round, it's probably fortunate that all the other local pubs are terrible so I'll stick with it for now
Disappointed. Gluten free options very disappointing. All the food was luke-warm at best. They had run out of the wine we ordered and one of two puddings. We had Sunday roast which was ok but veg overcooked and not hot. Halloumi burger ok but again not hot. Gluten free fish and chips was in fact plain grilled fish and sautéed potatoes so not really as advertised. The waitress was very good and the service attentive but she was let down by the kitchen.
We went for Sunday Lunch, the food was lovely and there was plenty to choose from! The restaurant was decorated really nicely for Christmas. However, the service was a little slow, we had to wait a while to order drinks and then they took a while to come after that perhaps understaffed which was a real shame.

We needed a meal somewhere in Nottingham, where we could leave our dogs in the car nearby. This place fitted the bill. Food was okay, staff were great nothing special but suited us perfectly. The inside of the pub is really nice. The food could just be better.
Good quality food. Friendly , if somewhat slow service. Easy parking and good atmosphere. One of our party thought that thought the mushroom risotto was overpriced. It could do with being a rather smaller portion for less money.
We had a great family celebratory meal at the Wollaton. 14 of us had lovely freshly prepared food and drinks in The Boardroom . Friendly and attentive staff. A great range of food and drinks.
Four of us meet up now and then. This time we chose the Wollaton for lunch and enjoyed the time together with a good menu, good well prepared food, good service and pleasant dining room.

We held my Dad’s 90th in the boardroom. The food was great and came quickly. The staff were very welcoming. The room really nice just right for a family gathering. Well done!
Really lovely food this evening. The seasonal menu looks good. Turkey dinner and Duck with red cabbage were really good quality. Great job everyone thank you.
