This was the most recommended place for afternoon tea from our London locals that we know- and it certainly lived up to our expectations for the experience. The Wolseley is known for its afternoon tea and overall environment it eludes. We were greeted by a doorwoman who directed us to the hostess and we were promptly seated for our reservation. The service was quick and for tea was wonderful. Overall the sandwiches and biscuits were good, however, I was not necessarily a fan of the desserts. I will say they are very accommodating with allergies and that was very nice. The English equivalent of a posh TGI Friday, there are open 8am to midnight, have a small menu which never changes.. It's a beautiful setting, the staff are nice but it's not a real restaurant... A beautiful setting but the food tastes like this tis the millionth time the chefs had cooked it... Which is probably true, on a side note, the doorperson spends all her time on her phone, so just get the door yourself
Breakfast was really good. Service is great, stuff is helpful and caring, not fast but normal enough that you don't wait much. Inside ambiance is amazing. Prices are a bit higher after covid pandemic especially for eggs that you need to choose small or large for 1-2 muffins/eggs. I would like to visit for afternoon tea to try pastries
Right now, it is closed as we are in tier 3, but two weeks ago, we had a lovely lunch there. I am vegetarian and there were several delicious options for me. The other members of our little group also enjoyed their food. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Venue is what it is: uniquely elegant. The service is very attentive, always replenished my glass and attended to my requests. Quality of food was excellent and so was the overall experience.
A great and lower-priced afternoon tea. Definitely recommend to people who doesn’t want to spend big bucks going to the traditional afternoon teas.
Loved this place for tea. First time for my husband and he loved it! Have tried other places in London, and this is by far the best.
