The Woodspeen - Reservar una mesa

it is now more than half a decade, since john campbell decided to leave the weinberg on stockcross and the 2 michelin stars he had won there. he had a short stint that launched the coworth park hotel to the Dorchester concert and won a star with his restaurant of the same name. campbell then shared company with coworth park and went into the sunset. that was until he was attempted to open the woodspeen in 2015 from his self-pressed stand. unsafe, with a chef of his immense talent at the tax, the restaurant quickly won a michelin star within a year of opening. Although campbell was very present when we visited, the day for day cooking remains his chef peter eaton who worked with him in the coworth park.

really nice modern interieur and very generous portions for the main and desserts. This Michelin star restaurant is not disappointing and all four of us were very satisfied with our meals. all three courses were super delicious I had to start the artichoke suppe, the seabass as my main and the coffee custard tart as my dessert. the wine list is very extensive, which is always helpful and the staff was very professional and friendly. would give this place a further attempt (if I ever again am in newbury).

Incredible. Highly recommended. Chic and modern interior with Michelin star food and impeccable service. Everything I had was faultless. I even went for a dessert, which I wouldn't normally do, but I couldn't not see if they were infallible. They are. Scallops and pork cheek starter with apple and garlic. Butternut squash lasagne with sweet chili broccoli and BBQ cabbage. Almond cake with blackberries. 101% we will return

wow, what a restaurant. from the moment they arrive, the workers are nothing but perfect. contempt, only enough that they are always looked after and never annoyed. the bar area has a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a drink before or after the din and the main room is beautiful and light. eating is amazing as expected and the wine list has many good options for all budgets.

Had a birthday celebration lunch for my friend. The cocktail is very nice. The team is young, professional and vivid. The food is outstanding. Definitely will come back ! They provide a small square of complimentary birthday cake to make a wish.
