This place was highly recommended to us. The food we had was lovely, really tasty and a good variety on the menu. The service is the reason for the low rating. On arrival we weren't told the specials or told what was unavailable, so when I came to ordering we had to pick something else. We asked for water for the table, twice. Our mains was sat on the pass for at least 10 minutes and our table wasn't cleared of the starter plates until they realised our food was ready. We weren't asked once how the food was. We had to ask for the bill twice and finally got it after asking another member of staff. The manager, I'm guessing, is good at looking busy but doing minimal work. Clocked off and still...
Great all round pub for food and drink in a lovely setting with friendly staff and great service with lots of car parking. Came for Sunday Lunch, the restaurant was fully booked and the pub area also full … but was able to get a seat in the area out the back which had outdoor heaters per table and kept us our two young kids warm. Excellent customer service at the bar, good range of drinks for all very well made cappuccino too … which is unusual for a pub ! Ordered the Sunday Roast, big portions, very tasty and the kids menu was great and reasonably priced. Really pleased with lunch and will be back, thank you !
The prices were reasonable, but I expected a bit more value for my money. It seemed like there was only one hardworking server hustling to take orders, bring out food, and clean up, while several of her colleagues stood idle behind the bar. This made us wait longer to order, get drinks, and pay our bill, which contributed to my somewhat average rating, along with the limited food choices. I'd consider returning, but next time I might either order food earlier or try a different place altogether.
The only pub left on the high street, and I do enjoy it here, though I think there’s always room for improvement in several areas. The food is good, but a bit on the expensive side, especially considering the current circumstances. The staff are polite, but they don't seem very cheerful. Even though the place has been renovated, the outside—particularly the rear—could use a good sweeping and a bit more brightness. This pub is lovely. We popped in for a drink and had the most service. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are very friendly. The service is fast and you get feel very welcome in the establishment by the staff. We will be coming here for a meal in the new year. This pub is warm and homely and has very positive vibes. Quite busy , seated in main bar. Food very good quality.. loaded chips is a must. I had the beef and ale pie. It was near perfection the pastry crusty and crisp lots of meat in the filling, good selection of veg and chips. Partner had the sea food risotto. She loved it x all in all good service and not to pricey. Recommend
I absolutely adore this place! As a local pub, it's hard to find a better one. The atmosphere is wonderful, the outdoor seating is beautiful, and the food is delicious. We loved it so much that we even held our wedding here, and it exceeded all of our expectations. I highly recommend it!
This lovely pub restaurant was great for our family gathering. We had a whole section for us. The children enjoyed their dinners. The adults enjoyed ours too. Most of us had looked online and thought it was odd that there was no roast on a Sunday, but yes there was a roast! Reserva una mesa ahora
