It was nice to visit this place again. The service was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. However, I found the portions to be a bit smaller, which is fine if you're trying to watch your diet, but my plate looked quite bland. I ordered the Colonel Peppers, which came with salad, and I expected it to be more exciting. The chicken was decent, but the dish had too much pepper sauce, which made it less appealing. I also missed having more salad on the plate. Overall, the experience was better since my last visit, but there's still room for improvement.
First visited this restaurant in the mid 70s, when it was brilliant. Since then it's had it's ups and downs, but now it's back to its best. The food was excellent okay one meal came with fries not wedges but we didn't mind), burgers can be tweaked without being made to feel a nuisance, atmosphere was good and the music at the right level and era. Staff were busy but helpful. Had a really good lunch main course only) and was in and out in an hour.
We came here on Sunday for lunch, and it was amazing! The 2 waitresses couldn't of been anymore helpful, the food selection, especially the vegetarian menu, was so vast! The food was delicious as well. If I'm ever back in great yarmouth, I'll definitely be going here again! Vegetarian options: Amazing selection of vegetarian burgers. Felt so spoilt for choice! Went to Zaks at the Yankee Traveller yesterday. Very pleasant waiter but I was very disappointed with my food. Veggie burger was dry and bun bog standard. My weggies were undercooked and not at all crispy. Other members of the party said their burgers were OK but fries bit undercooked. Not a great experience so won't return. Service: Dine in
