The Yard Food Park

The Yard Food Park is by far our top choice for date-nite when we're in Salem. It's especially great if for a double date or just groups, because with the wide selection of options- everyone can find something they like. With very rare exceptions, all of the people that operate the various food trucks have been friendly and have had wonderful food. The Yard itself has some outside seats, and ample indoor seating with a full bar- and they can make some great drinks. If you're there at the right time, there's even live music and comedy shows (we haven't made it to the comedy shows, but its on our list of must-do's). Over all its a great place to go!

the variety is fantastic for both eating and drinks, from several Asian foods to bbq and American sorts. both parking spaces and sitting places fill in the evening quickly, so snore what they can get and make friends sharing tables. there is an inside area with fireplace for the winter and summer there is a fake gras in the back to sit on. definitely worth checking and has something for everyone. not all cards are always open and often run out of any given menu item as flexible as required. when used to the war basket in pdx etc. it is different, but for the salem scene it offers more protection than outside to the south.

jos soul food and memphis style bbq. I had just some great memphis style ribs and I can say they are great. I talked to joko for a bit about South style ripening. what a great guy. if they rip on the look for some excellent South style, this is the place to go. texas
