The Yiros King - Reserva de mesa

At the end of a busy, long weekend we thought "big juicy yiros" would be perfect for Sunday night dinner. Gearing up all day for that garlic infused delight of crisp salad and hot seasoned meat you only get from ordering yiros...drool, well not so much! I skipped lunch today for a dry, stale tasting wrap with no hint of garlic sauce to be tasted. I was looking for that sauce running down my hands like the classic mess you'd expect from authentic yiros. Instead I had overwhelming clumps of cheese and the occasional taste of lamb that was ordered as "chicken yiros with extra garlic sauce PLEASE". From now on, we might just stick to homemade yiros.

We thought for our date night we would grab a yiros as we have had them from the yiros king growing up and thought they did amazing yiros. We both ordered the lamb yiros and it was disgusting!!! Is all you could taste was fat... there was hardly any salad and so for my husband to stop eating and throw it away, it was BAD... havd spoken to two other friends who have been there and they said the same. Not sure if there is new owners but will be returning.. for the price it's definitely to much for what you get..

Consistantly delicious yiros/ab packs with crispy chips and a fair wack of food for the money, every time ive been there, for months now. Staff are quite friendly. (Unsure what the other peoples reviews are on about?) They are fairly busy sometimes and wait times can be a bit if its packed. Best to call ahead. But definately recommend trying the food here for sure.

Remember when the Yiros King was a mouth watering 'meat on the spit' experience, with plenty of garlic sauce, tomato and that undeniable Greek flavour. Not so anymore! No garlic sauce and no spit flavour. Tasted like it was meat cooked on a hotplate. Save your money! Reserva una mesa ahora

Staff extremely rude, especially grey haired man who served me - he acted like he was the owner. Maybe he was so should have known better. Food was disgusting with grease dripping everywhere. I would never eat here again if it was the last yiros shop in australia.

mum and i have been going since i was really little and even though it was real yucky for a while, it's picked right back up and it's so yummy and amazing, would recommend. Family from darwin love it there and will only have a yiros from there.

We used to do a 30 minute round trip to Yiros King for the best Yiros. No more. Since the new ownership they've been awful. I would love a good yiros, but haven't found anyone who did it better than the previous owners, I guess I'll survive.

We ordered yiros for tea the other night from Yiros King and I was a tad disappointed. Whist the yiros were "ok" they weren't anything to rave over. I've eaten tastier yiros from other places. The staff were friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

Ate there for lunch, after not being serviced at kfc, nice hot chicken roll and chips, small mom & pop shop, will remember this place the next time I pass thur thanks

Great yiros combo if that's what you want. They have a great choice of extras which are of good quality We would go back but now choose not to eat meat
