We'll, another trip to the area so I thought I'd give Thai Nam another go. This time I got the garden salad with ginger dressing and Pad Thai with chicken 1 Star. The garden salad was very fresh and the ginger dressing was out of this world and they didn't skimp on it either. The pad Thai was very good. It was slightly burnt as some other reviewers have said, but it wasn't distasteful and actually grows on you as you eat it. The one star spice was perfect. I used to do five stars but have cut back as I've gotten older. I like the flavor and a slight kick but not misery. When I get one star, sometimes I'll ask for something to boost it, but this didn't need it. Overall, I'd give this trip a 4...
This restaurant was on our list of places to try, and we visited for dinner last week. It did not disappoint! We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. It's a cozy spot that feels like a family-run business. Our server was extremely friendly and accommodating. We ordered a few dishes, including fried rice, pad kra pow, drunken noodles, and Thai iced tea, and everything was incredibly flavorful and delicious. It's rare these days to find a restaurant that offers a selection of spicy sauces on the side, which was a nice touch—I often enjoy my food with a bit more heat. We will definitely be returning!
Thai Namphet restaurant is a true gem, offering exceptional service and a charming, chic decor that elevates the dining experience. The red curry is bursting with flavor, the drunken noodles are a must-try, and the Thai dim sums are simply delightful, melting in your mouth. This place is definitely a go-to for delicious Thai cuisine in a lovely setting! A special shoutout to our server, Titang, for his fantastic recommendations and attentive service.
This is the second time where I ordered shrimp and they were not de-veined. The first time was a year ago and I called them to complain. They claimed it was a mistake we always clean our shrimp So I accepted that, but stayed away from ordering shrimp til last night. I ordered to go, so did not notice till I got home. I was pretty disgusted when I opened the container to find shrimp not proper split and vein removed. Just gross

Was good, clean and nice atmosphere. I really liked the decorations even from the outside it looked super cool. I'm not from the area so I can't come back. I was in town for a show, so I won't be back but the food was plenty reasonably priced, and the service was good.
Excellent authentic dishes!! They accommodated for my requests- no egg and super spicy!! Pad Thai was very flavorful- more tamarind based which hit the spot!! Panang curry was delicious with lot of veggies! A gem in the north jersey area!!
Went for lunch on Saturday afternoon. We ordered green curry and drunken noodles. Did came out pretty quick and both dishes very tasty. I just found food a bit oily compared to other Thai places.
Had dinner on a rainy and cold night in Rockaway. The food was good and the shrimp were large and the dish tasty. Service was good and I'll probably be back to try their Pad Thai.

I always order the drunken noodles and Thai iced tea, and they consistently deliver on the classics. The restaurant offers seating both indoors and outdoors.
This is without a doubt to me, NYC quality Viet food without having to drive into the city. I'm going to have lunch there today. It's that good. Yum.
