My experience at Third Base Pizza was extremely disappointing. My fiancé and I were looking forward to a relaxing Sunday date night, but it turned into a frustrating ordeal. Despite asking where to sit, we were left waiting for 20 minutes before anyone bothered to present us with menus. When a staff member wearing a jersey, crossbody bag and a vape on a necklace, finally acknowledged us, he seemed completely uninterested and begrudgingly provided menus. The custard was just what I wanted on a hot day in Occoquan. They have a lot of flavors but I went with chocolate and it was good. A little pricey but worth it (I think all ice cream kind of is). I will clarify the price since I called that out.. my bill was $15 for 2 ice creams, plus I like to give a tip so was $18 total. I was trying to do the math since I thought it would be like $6 each but One did have a cone (they were out of waffle cone and I was told it would be a sugar cone but was actually a cake cone, I think? I ordered the Diablo and asked for hot oil on the side not on the pizza. Not only was the oil all over the pizza but I was charged an additional $1.10 for it. I asked about and she reluctantly removed the fee which I thanked her for. My problem with the pizza is that It was SO greasy it was almost inedible. Grease was dripping from the sides when I packed it to go on paper towels thinking it may be better if I could sop up some of the grease. No such luck, it actually leaked grease on my floorboard while transporting it home. Every time I have been here it’s been awesome. This time, not so much. What a hidden gem! The pizza was delicious and perfectly proportioned for sharing. My son and I shared a 1/2 sausage and 1/2 Hawaiian. It was delicious! My Mom's Greek salad was very fresh and tasty....and big! She actually took a lot of it home. The seating accommodates a variety of party sizes and there is outdoor seating. Highly recommend outdoor seating; as the local town is fun for people watching. The staff is friendly and works hard to please customers. We are happy to discover this local restaurant.

Rude staff and mediocre food. The pizza looked good, however, we did not purchase any. Our party of 3 came for custard and one of us was given vanilla instead of German chocolate and another was given 2 cones stacked on top of each other (with the paper). The group behind us ended up leaving due to the wait time and as they were walking away, the cashier said, “because I’m busy? You don’t have to leave.” We are visiting from out of town and do not plan to return.
My group got 3 pizzas, with the free cheese pizza as prt of their promo. They all are delicious and unique. We ended our night with their frozen custard. It’s a huge serving size for one cup with fun flavors, though flavors were a bit muted. Service was amazing, quick, and friendly. Our pizzas were ready without any long wait too! Totally recommend to try after a long day of water activities. Reasonably priced. Ample of outside and inside seating.
I have tried all of the restaurants in Nowa that offer vegan pizza (there are about 20). This one is definitely one of the best! However, the extra toppings can be a bit pricey.
My family enjoys getting the vegan pizza at this restaurant when we visit! The pizzas taste like a healthier, fresher version of traditional pizza.

Had no specific plans for eating and we ended up at Third Base! It was delicious! Had a nice lunch with my boys : great food and service!
