Three Aces Restaurant

The Three Aces is popular in the area, mainly due to the very limited choice of restaurants. It is a low budget place to eat with very basic and predictable "Canadian Chinese" offering. Anyone who know good Chinese food will immediately recognize that this place doesn't have it. It you want a lot of "value" for your money, go for the all you can eat specials. You will get lots to eat with lots of breading, sugar, sodium and fat included. Of course you have to order before their arbitrary cutoff time for ordering the all you can eat menu, which I believe is one hour before closing. The restaurant is definitely not as pictured, and it reeked of roach powder in the front doorway. The waitress offered only 2 Canadian food specials or Wonton soup. She was reluctant to provide a menu. The menu items were limited and ludicrously expensive. The server was so rude when I did not want her "day's specials" I could not even place an order from the menu. So I happily walked out, and drove to a Chinese restaurant in Blind River, had a great meal with lovely service for a very reasonble price. The Bacon Fried Rice is amazing! I believe this was the first Chinese Restaurant that I ever found Bacon Fried Rice... I've looked for it at other Restaurants, only found it a few times (mostly in the USA), and no one else does it like Three Aces!They are a small family run business, they took it over the Restaurant in 2003 (the same year I started working for my current employer)... I always make a point of leaving Toronto so I'll make it to Iron Bridge for lunch time.

We usually go to the 3 Aces on Fridays for the special - all you can eat and we never ask for more because they give you enough on the plate. Hot and fresh and delicious - what else is there to say!! One of our special places to go for a good time.

We had a traditional Chinese dinner which was very tasty and fresh, the place was busy but well organised. We will stop there next time we travel to the Great White North
