Today, we went to Three Moorhens for lunch and had an extremely disappointing experience. It was a hot and busy day, but it was clear that the restaurant was severely understaffed. The bar was overcrowded and the single bartender serving was visibly stressed and irritable. It took us twenty minutes to be served, and the bartender seemed unable to prioritize customers who had been waiting the longest. Some customers were left waiting for over twenty minutes, while others were served immediately. The bartender was loudly complaining about her job and life in general. The Three Moorhens is located on the outskirts of Hitchin, towards Stevenage, so having transportation is recommended. Fortunately, there is a large car park available so parking is never an issue. This popular pub offers decent pub food at very affordable prices. It is a family-friendly establishment, perfect for enjoying a Sunday roast together. They often have meal deals available, making it a great value option in the area. Overall, The Three Moorhens is a recommended spot, especially for families with children.
