Tia Juanita's Fish Camp

What a fun atmosphere...we really liked the vibe! We're on our way to Florida, staying overnight and stopped in for dinner. So glad we did. Everything we tried was delicious. Dinner for the 2 of us was one Pistolettes, 2 large boudin balls, 1/2 lb. of boiled jumbo shrimp, a cup of seafood gumbo and some of the best char-grilled oysters we've ever had...yum!! The Pistolettes roll is crispy on the outside and filled with a nice, spicy shrimp etoufee. I could have had 2, but then I wouldn't have had room for anything else. The shrimp were HUGE...2 bites per shrimp huge. The cocktail sauce included a dollop of fresh horseradish on top. I did have to wait a bit for the shrimp...turns out it didn'...

The Pistolettes roll was crispy on the outside and packed with a delightful, spicy shrimp étouffée. I could have easily eaten two, but then I wouldn’t have had room for anything else. The shrimp were enormous—big enough to require two bites! The cocktail sauce even came with a generous dollop of fresh horseradish on top. I did have to wait a bit for the shrimp as it wasn't entered into the system initially, but our very apologetic waitress quickly placed the order and made sure it came out as soon as possible. This place is amazing. The food was excellent. We have fried fish and shrimp with chips (frries). The breads were light and airy. I don't like bread that's so thick that it overwhelms the bread. We also have the shrimp and crab cheese bread bowl. OMG... so lovely. In any case, something we will have over and over. Finally, we have the Boudin balls. Upstairs... you can pass them on. They taste fine and again the bread time is great, but not much taste. If you get them, add Tabasco and use the diving sauce they give you, otherwise they are Arta-Blande. This place gets 5 stars, because once we left, I asked my Hubby if we could come back. He wanted to ask me the same.

Tia Juanita's was recommended by several people, since we were making a daytrip to Beaumont. As you walked it, the atmosphere was laid back. Fun music was playing. Our waiter was amazing and had several recommendations since we hadn't been there before.I don't like seafood so he recommended steak nachos. I ended up doing half steak and half chicken. They were different sincethey were on tosadas. My boyfriend ended up getting the roast beef combo with chicken gumbo and seasoned fries. We also had thedrink flight. Everything was amazing! Tia Juanita's was recommended by several people as we made a trip to Beaumont. When you left, the atmosphere was covered. Fun played music. Our waiter was amazing and had some recommendations since we were not there. I don't like seafood, so he recommended Steak Nachos. I did half the steak and half the chicken. They were different since they were on Tosadas. My friend came to roast with chicken gum and seasoned frits. We had a drink. Everything was amazing!

A few years ago, my friend from Beaumont introduced me to Tia Juanita's, and I recently had the chance to dine there again while passing through for work. Both times, I ordered the boudin quesadilla, which was so delicious that I can hardly imagine trying anything else on the menu! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was really cool too.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is extremely fresh and absolutely delicious. The blackened redfish with vegetables was wonderful, and the shrimp bruschetta paired with creamy grits was delightful. The char-grilled oysters were perfect as well. I will definitely be returning to this place again and again!

This place is amazing. The food is really fresh and just good! Redfish with vegetables wonderful! Shrimp Bruchette with the creamy grotto was delicious. The carburized oysters were perfect. It'll be a place to keep going.

GF and I drove from Houston to Beaumont for the day and this place came highly recommended. It did not disappoint!!! Server was great! Food was awesome and portions were huge!! Definitely recommend this little hidden gem
