In late September the options have become a bit limited in the lovely little town of Seillans. To be honest we walked past this place several times as it is hidden down from the main road and it doesn't appear to open early in the week. But Tripadvisor reviews did their job and encouraged us to have lunch. The photos of food here are an accurate depiction of our lovely meal served with quiet, friendly efficiency in a really pleasant corner of the town. We don't speak much French and though there is no pandering to us lazy languaged Brits (Welsh actually), we could easily determine what to choose with gentle help from our waiter. Visited here twice. Once during a huge thunderstorm where my daughters and I were the only customers and once with my husband on a beautiful sunny day but there was still plenty of seating outside overlooking the river.My husband, a tea connoisseur, was delighted by the extensive list of teas offered on the menu and at how beautifully it was served. Good coffee was also served, complimented by a tiny, heart shaped chocolate fondant which was delicious.The small café is situated alongside several art shops and galleries so you can browse lovely items whilst you are waiting to be served! A lovely quiet spot to relax in whilst visiting Seillans, even in the height of the summer.
Since it has been taken over by new owners the standard of service and food have plummeted. We have had two awful meals there; one involving a large fly in a crepe and the second we were ignored and given a cheese and tomato focaccia which turned out to include ham (my daughter is vegetarian). The service is extremely slow and unfriendly. We will never return.
If the sun has worn you down, strolling through the old byways of Seillans, head down to the river and find a table under the leaves where you can recover with a fresh salad and so much more, all home-made.

Situated just outside the old town is this calm and friendly restaurant, which serves a lovely lunch. Very French but also modern.
Great food with several vegetarian options, really friendly staff who speak English, and a beautiful venue. Highly recommended.
Relaxed cosy place with friendly helpful owners. Peaceful and away from busy traffic on the main through road.
