We arrived at this restaurant at 2:30pm for a late lunch and waited in line for about 20 minutes, clearly indicating its popularity. After choosing our dishes, we tried to hand our list to a waitress but were completely ignored. It seems like they are short-staffed and the employees are overwhelmed. We ordered five dishes - four dim sum dishes and one noodle dish. The noodles were the best part, but the others were just average or even mediocre. You can definitely find better options at much lower prices elsewhere. We can say we gave it a chance, but we do not plan on returning.
The restaurant was very mediocre and not worth the price. The treasure pot was decent, but the menu was very limited and focused on meat - not vegetarian-friendly at all. Even as non-vegetarians, we missed having more vegetable options. The broccoli was overcooked. We were unhappy when all our dishes were brought out at once, and the waitress refused to slow it down. There weren't many diners in the restaurant, yet they wouldn't accommodate us. The tea was overpriced. There are much better places for yum cha in Burwood and Sydney.
Horrible service! We raised our hands several times(trying to get someone to take our order) but the waitresses just kept ignoring us. Finally someone walked pass and we asked her if she could take our order but got responded rudely and impatiently 'CANT YOU JUST...WAIT?! ' But it was just around 3pm and not too much people dining there at that time, they were not that busy.
Its a place you would try and say yes i have try it. Very limit variety. The famous BBQ BUN did live up to its name. Another favourite dish is the deep fried sesame balls w/salted egg inside. Customer service was okay. Not the...best and not the worst. The place was clean and tidy.

would have visited tim ho wan restaurants in hongkong and would say that the aromen here are almost the same. limited menu is the brand for this restaurant, the less better. but the portion size is small in comparison to hongkong. very cheap and offers...Michelin experience.
the food is generally of very good quality and the service generally quick. the ambience is pretty good and the seating generous. the premises are clean. selection is limited but each selection is of good standard. a good choice for dates, family, and easy lunch...or dinner.
Being Michelin starred, I was excited to try their yumcha but when I did, I was disappointed with the very limited food selection and the small serving. Not really value for money. The taste of the food was not anything special.

her menu is much shorter than most yum cha places, and all dishes come in tiny little ones. although eating well tastes and their service is over standard, it can cost them quite a lot to feed the family here.
If you are in the Burwood area and looking for authentic Chinese food, you must visit Tim Ho Wan. The food is fresh and of high quality. The highlight is the baked pork bun. Great service too!
