This is by far the best sandwich shop on the entire island! And as someone who isn't easily impressed and who loves to eat and has decerning taste, that's no embellishment. No place is perfect but if you order any of the hot heroes you will not be disappointed! 9/10 I never had any of their soups and their potato salad and macaroni salad is lack luster but if you're craving heroes this is the place you want to go! So much so even if I had to drive half an hour out of my way each way I'd do it happily! They have some tables and chairs to eat in if that's your desire but there's no atmosphere, so I normally take my food to go!
We ordered several 4-foot heroes for Employee Appreciation Day and everyone loved the food. I received numerous compliments, particularly about the breaded Chicken Cutlet Hero. The salads were all excellent as well, with special mentions for the macaroni salad. I particularly enjoyed the redskin potato salad. We will definitely choose them again for future events like this. When asked who made the heroes, I mentioned you, and I hope they stop by for lunch someday. Thank you very much!
TJs Hero's is the best sandwich shop on the island! The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, and the owners and staff are incredibly friendly. There’s a gentleman who I believe is the owner—he’s such a nice man who always goes above and beyond for his customers. If there's ever an issue with your order, they do their best to make it right, which is completely understandable; everyone makes mistakes sometimes. I highly recommend TJs!
I have to be honest people nice!!!! I ordered 2 sandwiches. came out two 30$ I was very hungry . I gotta say this was the worst sandwich I ever ate and am being honest and my wife said I don't understand why didn't u go to the places I always go! I was just trying out something new. horrible sandwich

Ridiculous, ordered my sandwich and asked them to cut it in half and i'll take half because I didn't expect it to be that big and they acted like they couldn't and I had to buy whole. Pathetic going to the hero place up the block now lol never coming back.
One of if not the best hero shop around! The bread is fantastic! Always my go-to choice when a philly cheese steak craving hits!
Great sandwiches, great service, nice people. O n line ordering would be a plus because it gets busy.
Loved the Long Islander and the New Yorker heros and the ice tea is very good
