Our waitress took our order and brought our drinks, but we never saw her again for refills. The chips were fresh and well-salted, and the salsa was thick and flavorful. However, the portion size of the Mexican Flag enchiladas was underwhelming. The ala carte tacos were hit and miss - the steak taco was bland, the shrimp taco was okay, and the Chile braised beef taco was too salty and tasted canned. We didn't have a chance to ask for more salsa as all the servers were busy playing trivia and working on the bonus round – they ended up placing third overall.
Overall, we were disappointed with the service, food, and limited and overpriced menu. We will not be returning.
I’m so glad to have a great Mexican restaurant around here. The food is cooked to order and is delicious. The Birria tacos are so juicy and the fresh chips and salsa does not disappoint. I’ve also had their fajitas, quesadillas, and the burger. So yummy! It’s a great lunch spot as well. The dessert is amazing! I’m not a fan of flan, but this has changed my mind. The staff is very friendly and the owner is wonderful. They are short staffed, as are all the restaurants are in our area, but it is worth the wait. I’m happy we have such a great restaurant that is local!
Strong drinks, delicious food and impeccable service. The owners take great pride in serving nothing but freshest ingredients. I ordered traditional margarita and man it was great! For food we had their guacamole, melted cheese in a pan, theeeee best! Everyone in our group were really delighted with how great and authentic their food was. We are well-traveled individuals and we know what is best when we see it and experience it, and this is one of the best there is, at a very affordable price.
Called in for a platter of fajitas and wings and was pleasantly surprised with how patient and polite the server was. They walked us through what our order included and gave us economical ways to tweak our order. Manager and owner Jimmy greeted us with an effortless pickup of food and even double checked the order. We all loved the fajitas and wings and all cannot wait to go back to enjoy the in-restaurant dining experience. 5 stars from all 6 adults from today.

El Taquito had delicious food, a large selection of beverages, indoor and outdoor dining options, and good service. The Carne Asada is on point every time. The house salsa has a delicious charred flavoring from the roasting of tomatoes. An Aldie neighborhood favorite! Brunch is available 11-3 Saturday Sunday. The Taquito Breakfast is savory and filling.
We finally got out to try our neighborhood Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing. I love a good chicken dish. The drinks were so-so but we are used to drinks from much more expensive establishments. We were super happy with our experience. The atmosphere was super nice and relaxing. The bar area looks great too.
When I am craving some AUTHENTIC Latin cuisine I know that the food and service will not disappoint! Jimmy is always great for conversation and service, and the food speaks for itself... You better try these Birria Tacos before they're gone!! So amazing!
Later review but late is better than never. I was there last month and sat outside with 2 friends. This is a great local restaurant with a good variety of menu options. Our server was super cheerful helpful.
