if you 're in the west end of the city, you should drop by Toast and Jam! Firstly, for 2022 the value in great, i left satisfied. i picked up a mediterrenean quiche and it inspired me to get two more at the sister bakery the next day and each one was such a pleasure! i also got the vegan sandwich to go, not knowing what to expect, and found a lot of tofu, tomato and mushroom and very tasty bread and spread. on the second day get a carrot muffin that is a triumph and a blueberry pie that i forgot to give to my cousin so pass it to a woman who works beside me and the next day she says, i 'm a pie person, and that 's the best pie i 've ever had! her entire family enjoyed it! so, ya, Toast and J...
This place is unreal! We stopped in on our way to Prince Edward County using Highway 33. The place was packed and after eating there I can see why. The people coming in never stopped. Service was quick and friendly. My wife and I had the Eggs Benedict which is served on thick slices of sour dough bread with two poached eggs and home fries. I’ve never had it in anything other than English muffins and will probably use sour dough bread from now on. I went to work breakfast at her opening hours. The vegan options are limited in the early morning, and I was disappointed at what I paid for the meal. TBH, they really nailed the aspect of ambience and customer service at this point. People are great, the place is beautiful, and I love all the homemade aspect they contain in all their offers. For a vegetarian, I can imagine that this place is a 5-star, but for me it was a unique risk. The follow-up will be necessary for social commitments.
Toast and Marmelade is a wonderful cafe-style restaurant with breakfast and lunch service connected with its sister’s shop: “bread and butter”. All foods are made by scratches including bread, which makes changing meals for vegans very direct forward! The employees are about the vegan diet and are happy to make recommendations. Always at least two vegan options on the menu, but many more that can be made vegan on request. Beautiful atmosphere and a perfect weekend brunch location!
As seniors, with Covid still lurking in the background, we haven’t eaten in many restaurants recently. This morning we were able to enjoy a lovely breakfast with our son. As usual, the food and service were great- French toast, flat whites. To our immense surprise and delight, someone anonymously paid for our meals. Thank you, thank you. I will smile often and frequently when I recall your generous gesture. Seasons greetings. Stay well.
I have been to europe, far east, middle east , asia best french toast ever , arrive early as they have line ups , if you’re planning a drive from Toronto to Ottawa , plan to eat your breakfast here. Quiche was vegetarian and excellent, cheeses are halal but always ask again. Huge dining area , excellent service
Fabulous spot for a big breakfast! We went here because Pan Chancho was booked and are we ever glad we did! A happy group of staff, excellent, hearty breakfast and then visit the bakery next door for some take home treats. This will now be our breakfast place in Kingston.
